So today I joined the Tactical Tupperware carrying club... I am now the proud owner of a Glock 19... YAY ME!!!!

However that is not the best part of my day, the best part was that Back of Cockmerica decided that they were going to block my card because "the card had been used in a gun store so we wanted to make sure that it was actually you using it not some other person"... However it gets better... at the end  of the transaction my receipt said $666.68 This is a sign... I don't know what it means but a sign nonetheless

Grumpy post  pic of receipt please I left it in your car

and before anyone says anything... Speer gold dots +p

So using a card in a gun store means it's a higher risk of being stolen? Time to write a nasty gram.

Sounds like it's time to change banks. You might wanna give BECU a shot, anytime they have had any issues with where my card has been used I have gotten a call on my cell phone before they take any action.

No problems with wamu anytime in a gun store.

The tupperware aint all that bad as long as you keep it in the 9mm variety.

That's AWESOME dude!  Great choice, welcome to the Dark Side!

The G19 is one of the best fighting pistols ever made.  It's one of the most popular Glocks for personal defensive sidearm among civilians, and it's issued by a number of agencies, including NYPD.

Now get a shitload of mags, G17 mags in particular.  They don't stick out that much, and give you 17 rounds.

Eventually you have to get at least one 33 rnder.  They are alot of fun..............and perhaps useful for "crowd control" or a zombie horde.

Now get out and go do THIS, alot!

ETA:  yeah, that's kind of bullshit with the bank.............................fucktards.  'Cause only a bad guy would be buyin' a gun, right?

Welcome Shakul, the tupperware is like AR's (FIREARMS CRACK) pretty soon you will have a .40, 357 sig, .45 and when you care enough to send the very best a 10MM. The damn things keep reproducing in my gun safe just like the 1911's do. Do yourself a favor, get a G20 and some doubletap ammo from Mike McNett and enjoy a 15+1 .41 mag. THAT is some good medicine.
The best thing about a Glock is, EVERYTIME your booger hook hits the bang switch, it goes bang.

First off, I have yet to take the Glock plunge, I like my Sigs and Browning High Power too much. But I'm not counting them out.
Second, anytime any firearm (except Jennings and High-Pointswhich) goes home from the pound the heavens rejoice. Happy Day
Third, it is weird that Bank of America would block something like that, during my tenure as an employee at a Kansas Gun Shop, my income went into my BoA account and right back out with the Debit Card, 18 firearm and many many more other purchases and nary a peep from the Bank. Meh...

I think it's more the fact that I only use my card to do one of three things w. it... pay my CC, buy ammo, buy guns... and in the past couple of days I've bought about 2k worth of ammo, guns and gear...

I guess when I only used that card to buy guns over a two-year period they just figured that that was my MO and wrote it off as me just being another gun nut. But if you have only used that particular card to buy cupcakes and candycanes for a while and then go out and spend a mint on guns and gun accessories it may raise a flag.

First of all, major fail.

Anything worth shooting is worth shooting with a big caliber.  9mm, really?  Sorry you can't handle a real man's caliber, like a .45 ACP.  (My wife shoots a .40 S&W)

Hope you like your hand grendade!

I have BofA as well and have never heard a peep from them on any of my purchases.  My statement regularly reads, Gunz and Schizzle, Rainier, Ben's, Fed Way Disc, Mary's.  Hell I even had a purchase from NW Tactical in Ohio and nothing, crazy.

Have fun with your new toy.

Sorry Vini, I gotta counter your suggestion.

Do NOT use G17 mags in a G19 for personal carry or on "go-to" gear.

It is far too easy in the heat of the moment to over-seat extended magazines into Glock pistols.

Seems hard when you're trying it at home, but wait until the adrenalin is flowing.

So you say the frame and magazine have a built in stop to prevent that, right?

Sure, go ahead and try it and see what happens.

If it's for range use or just for play, go for it and use extended mags in the G19.  For actual use, stick with factory G19 mags.

Oh yea, last thing Shakul, now you don't have an excuse not to buy a real fuckin' holster.

Congrats on the G19. It's one of my favorite pistols. Since I shot it the best. Go with a Kramer Holster.

I recently told BaNk of Cockanerica to fuck off. Since the decided to double my interest rate on a card that had zero balance. They still send my blank checks after I told them not too and constantly tried to get me to sign up for monthly ripoffs.  I hope that company =FAIL

Just what kind of Slide Cover Plate, and what's this talk of a "nifty buffer spring"?  You do know, Glocks run great stock.....................just curious.

A steel guide rod (captured, of course) is not a bad option though.................really doesn't hurt.

yes really.

It does seem like an excessive amount of force until you're under stress and shit starts falling apart as it tends to do.

Yes, it has happened to me, a long time ago which is why I don't even own any 33 round glock mags and havn't for years.

It is a phenomenon that has been noted during hard training and is actually pretty easy to do when you are running and gunning.

Some people over on the Tactical response forums have a video or two out on youtube about this as they have seen it during their classes as well.

Well, I'm glad to see the Slide Cover Plate's not one of those ghey ones, you know, with the Seahawks emblem or Punisher skull, all shiny............the one you're looking at looks good.

Tat Fire Dragon spring, I've heard good things and bad things about 'em.  It may change how the gun cycles, I hope it's reliable for you.  I do know the 9mm Glocks will run perfectly with the stock spring, and don't recoil that much.  Maybe Grumpy can chime in on the Fire Dragon spring, he may know more about them.

Those extended mag releases look good, I have no experience with them, as I use the stock release.  As long as they're not stickin' out too far for ya, you know, to get accidentally pushed while in the holster............of course, that will depend on what holster you use.
