Ok, back to the cool engine talk! I wonder how much horsepower/torque would be made by one of those engines if it were small enough to fit in, say, a Dodge Ram? Interesting, a rear engine Dodge Ram ??? |

It would be a tough sell trying to fit a Dodge pickup around it, but it might be fun (for someone else) to try..... |

I dunno...I've seen weird things done to vehicles........how about a RR Merlin wedged into a Ford Ranchero?....friend of mine had a Dodge van body sitting on a Chevy Blazer frame and running gear......said it was the best Dodge he had ever owned.

On a side note. 5K HP from 5K cu in's doesn't sound that bad for a diesel.
and considering it is 1950's technology. Little tough to fit in a dodge ram, maybe on of the 9 cylinder ones. A better choice would be a chev long horn     (chevy)
And on a futher side note , I built 2 motor stands for RR merlins for the local air museum. |
