Razor clams, the other, other white meat. First serving. Sleeve used for napkin. http://media.ar15.com/media/viewFile.html?i=8459 MUCH Better. Nice and simple, nothing too fancy. 10/10 (and I didn't dock you for the clams, even though I don't like 'em) |

Not sure what the measuring tape's for...........but..................G19 w/ spare mag, one of the finest fighting pistols ever made...........and simple, great food, 9/10! -1 no rifle........................ Maybe he thinks clams are an Aphrodisiac and is gonna take before and after measurements. |

Quoted: -1 for the tape +2 if you dug them yourself. Not sure why I grabbed Chellshooters tape out of the drawer.... thought it was a 'lunch pic' thing on arfcom. I'm a clam digging fool though, been diggin em since the first grade with my dad. However, These are in fact my first 'store bought' razors. (just ordered them through one of our suppliers at work this week) Lots of good memories digging, here in WA and in AK as a kid. But a guy needs his head examined if he ain't digging and cleaning for the sheer fun of it. I did the math as soon as the package thawed this morning. $1.25 per clam, cleaned and delivered. ($10 per pound, 8 clams per 1 lb vacuum pack) Last time I took my son, I don't know what I spent in gas and all the BS, but I do know it took the better part of the afternoon and early evening. We ate both limits that night, in one sitting. Fun, but an expensive way to eat. I'm think digging is like hunting.... always best when the freezer is already full. |

Quoted: Looks like a decent lunch. Now about that photo; did you add that border or is that another 'improvement' to the media server? It's in the menus when you post a pic. (been this way since the Advanced Editor was introduced, AFAIK) I didn't put a lot of thought in to it, but there are several options. |

Quoted: The diggin' does sound like it would be alot of fun. Bein' outdoors, on the edge of the water, and all. Like a fun way ta spend an afternoon with cool people. Damned good times. Dirty work, better spent with those who can appreciate it Quoted: BBQ sauce on razors???? Baby Jesus is crying. Honesty break: Two bites. (though it is a BBQ sauce like no other) You're 100% correct. It didn't work out like the OP thought it would. Luckily, the sauce was poured "on the side". |

Quoted: For next time remember some fried smelt on the side would be just like having french fries! Dunno if I've already bitched about them here before, but we got a little carried away with the smelt harvesting one year. I was maybe 14. By age 17 we still had enough left over to feed a small army. My current opinion is still rather harsh regarding fried smelt. (we ended up fertilizing the fruit trees with the rest of them. Whole family had their fill two years in to it... none of us has suggested going back for more since |

Store bought clams (at youra price) are probably cheaper than digging them yourself. It's the whole process (minus the aching back from working over the sink for a couple hours) that makes it a fun endeavour. Eating seafood the day it was taken is hard to beat. We know we don't hunt or dig clams for the economy of the process. |

Quoted: Eating seafood the day it was taken is hard to beat. We know we don't hunt or dig clams for the economy of the process. Whole lotta truth in both (under)statements, far too often discounted. Fresh seafood IS where it's at. So is getting it yourself. Every difference in the world. |
