I like GG&G.  They are rugged and I have never had a problem.  No experience with other brands though.

IMO get the Troy. Rugged and easy to flip up with gloves or bare-handed. Just use a bit of loctite blue when you install 'em.

HTH.

(I have a MI SPLP rear BUIS for sale if that's the direction you want to go.)

I like Cut Carry Handles, they work and tend to be cheap and aren't going to break. After that, anything US made and withthe fewest moving parts and springs. Used be a decent selection of Matechs on Egay.

no experience with them but if i had to choose a flip up site i would go with the wilson combat one.
i like the ability to adjust elevation on a rear site and not many can.

Works for me.  Flawlessly machined and finished. Rock solid and reliable.

My Noveske came with Troy, they are GTG.  I am using GG&G (spring operated) on my other two rifles.  They too are GTG.

I like the Troy, but they are a bit too spendy and over-engineered for backup sights IMHO.

I like BUIS's to be cheap.  For $60, you can get a Magpul Backup Polymer Sight (to be released this month), the Matech, a chopped carry handle, or a Cav Arms BUIS.  Without the MBUS, i've just been using an el-cheapo POS carry handle that's been chopped.  Took me 5 minutes with a hacksaw, dremel, sandpaper + table, and black spray paint.  I personally don't like the chopped carry handle, as it's hard for me to fight the instict to use the irons instead of looking over them to look at the red dot.

I'd just wait for the Magpul.

I like the YHM flipups that replace the FSB....and the rear BUIS flipup they have as well...Brownell's is a great source to get them, at a good cost, anyone with a C&R can get the Wholesale price.....

I have Yankee Hill front and rear BUIS.  I like em a lot but they are pricey.  Matech seems to be the inexpensive way to go as far as the EE is concerned.

I'm still not too sold on the MBUS.  I love Magpul, but a sight is a pretty small part to be made of polymer.  Alot of Pmags are cracking, and still working for the most part. But I doubt a cracked sight would keep it's zero.  Besides price I see no advantage over the iron sights, could be a step backwards.

I have ARMS, YHM and Matech, they all seem pretty good to me, I wanna see the Magpul ones, they are supposed to be out in about two weeks or so..

Very Pleased with the Troy Industries I have.  Solid as hell, stays set, and very positive in action.  PLUS They look good.  None of that Lego piece perched on a gas block look.

Yup, it's definitely not as durable as a Troy, but the trade off is cost and light weight.

Most electronic sights are pretty durable, so i thought the MBUS was a good enough concept to sell off all my Troy BUIS's before the MBUS was released.

I manager to pick up a new GG@G back up A2 style sight for 85 bucks. Seems to be of very good quality.

I'm running YHMs and a Matech. The Matech got a bad rap for the sight leaf wearing out its retainer and popping up whenever a round is fired, but it seems to me that it would take a lot of firing to get to that point. I'm very happy with mine, and will be looking for more.

I buy from Rainier Arms, whenever I can.

My Failure analysis of the Matech was a "axis pin backing out ever so slightly" problem.
None of the Matechs under my care that failed in that fashion ever had the problem return after I judiciously staked and peened/piened? the pins.

FWIW

"Staked" is a good description for this.

Sorta like staking the gas key screws on your bolt carrier.....
