Works for me. Flawlessly machined and finished. Rock solid and reliable. |

I like the Troy, but they are a bit too spendy and over-engineered for backup sights IMHO. I like BUIS's to be cheap. For $60, you can get a Magpul Backup Polymer Sight (to be released this month), the Matech, a chopped carry handle, or a Cav Arms BUIS. Without the MBUS, i've just been using an el-cheapo POS carry handle that's been chopped. Took me 5 minutes with a hacksaw, dremel, sandpaper + table, and black spray paint. I personally don't like the chopped carry handle, as it's hard for me to fight the instict to use the irons instead of looking over them to look at the red dot. I'd just wait for the Magpul. |

I like these, Wish I had the Diamondhead.. I just have the regular.

| I'm still not too sold on the MBUS. I love Magpul, but a sight is a pretty small part to be made of polymer. Alot of Pmags are cracking, and still working for the most part. But I doubt a cracked sight would keep it's zero. Besides price I see no advantage over the iron sights, could be a step backwards. |

Yup, it's definitely not as durable as a Troy, but the trade off is cost and light weight. Most electronic sights are pretty durable, so i thought the MBUS was a good enough concept to sell off all my Troy BUIS's before the MBUS was released. |
| I'm running YHMs and a Matech. The Matech got a bad rap for the sight leaf wearing out its retainer and popping up whenever a round is fired, but it seems to me that it would take a lot of firing to get to that point. I'm very happy with mine, and will be looking for more. |

None of the Matechs under my care that failed in that fashion ever had the problem return after I judiciously staked and peened/piened? the pins. FWIW |

Sorta like staking the gas key screws on your bolt carrier..... |
