| A buddy came over...talked about having received a phone call on Monday from someone, female, who said she represented a Washington State group, would not identify it, and was getting imformation about wether or not he supported the assualt weapons ban, agreed with only being able to purchase one handgun a month, if he felt the gun laws should be further restricted.....so on and so on....hes usually full of shit...anyone else hear about it? |

No and that would be a poll.
A good thing about having the phone right next to the computer is I can look up whoever is calling and is soliciting or polling. Being home during the day means getting a call or two a week from one of those groups. For the firefighters? Really? What was your groups name again? Are you sure? Why am I not finding you registered in WA state? Hello? Hello? |

An inspector stopped by recently from our local fire department when I was out of the office, and he left a short list of things he wanted changed. But the note was handwritten, and the name of the fire department had been changed to something I've never heard of. In addition, we've passed every inspection that we've ever had, with flying colors. So I dropped it in the roundfile, after thinking of my ex-wifes misguided contributions to various telephone "firefighter" causes over the years... which was a sore subject between her & I. Turns out he was legit though. (It also turns out that he's an asshole too, but that's another subject) Centralia Fire Department is now Riverside Fire Authority. Who knew? |
