So my buddy Tim needed a lift to work today. I figure ill help him out a bit. So its up at 0700 (im on vacation mind you) and i fire up the Jeep...

I then arrive at Tims place and get him to work without anything exciting...

On my way home the excitement starts, first i see this dude in a Porsche stuck. So i help him fit his chains and eventually pull him out backwards. This was the exciting bit, a train started to come. So we both scramble and get his car back enough for the train to clear his nose and the gate to clear the back of his car, GOOD MORNING! (picture taken after the train passed)

Then it was on to this interchange, see all the car things, yup all stuck. So i go to work. I push the Ford Taurus in front of me out with the push bar on the Jeep. By that time the grey Chevy at the base of the hill had been pushed out by a few other chaps. But a grey Neon had no chance as it stopped at the stop light. So i pushed her out by hand, no pics of that one, i was getting tired what with the running up and down hill in the snow, rolling in the snow and digging in the snow...

Now if you will excuse im going to eat breakfast now.

Did you point out the ways of their error?

Oh, and in before boomer rips the porche driver a new one.

We just got back from running some errands and shoveling/deicing the inlaws drive/walkway. There is compact snow on the roads so what does any red blooded american male do? Of course, slide around the corner when appropriate. We don't get snow very much so you gotta play when you can. My wife don't dig it at all. Tough titties! I did a donut in the driveway just for her!

Mr. McFly
I own a 4WD suburban. It has new tires and enough weight to get it to grip the road like Jay Buhner on a Louieville Slugger. I have had no problem getting around in the snow and have kept it out of the ditch while dodging the dumb asses in the small cars with bald tires that should be chained up.

I hope my sarcasm meter isn't broken.

Good on ya! Jeeps rule! I didn't see anyone stuck yesterday as we only have about 4", but its fun to drive around and look nonetheless.

Mr. McFly here ... that's what I'm saying ... it's like those SUVs can drive with all four wheels and don't get stuck without chains???

Allot of it does have to do with tire choice, im running 30x9.50 BFG A/Ts. The BFG A/T almost seems like it was made for this stuff...
And Cav Vet Liberties dont cound as a real jeep. Real Jeeps have live axles front and rear a full frame and an inline engine. V shaped engines IFS and uni-bodies are the work of the devil!

I was impressed with the TJ up in Gold Bar.

Everyone else was working hard to make t up the hill, Cherokees, Broncos, etc. I made it up slow & steady with no issues. The TJ was just doing circles around everything, around this forward, then backwards, he made it look way too easy.

I will put mine up against anything out there (without major mods), but I will get a TJ for my next toy.

Survived for another day in Sammamish.

Took the ute, dog, and missus out for a walk at Marymoor park, lots and lots and lots of powder snow (too bad it's flat land, otherwise I'd be sledding there).

The dog just loved the snow and ran every which way.

We got some dinner & supplies:

- Roast duck, and Ramen noodles from Uwajimaya

- Some Russian bread with fine ground beef filling from Crossroads Mall

- 1 big tub of Ivar's clam steaming hot clam chowder

- Eggs from Safeway (dang, they only had 5 x 6 cartons, I cut up a subset of 12 eggs, the teller couldn't figure out the math and gave them to us free)

- Some yogurt, cashew nuts, and sausages

Generally, the slhelves were pretty well stocked up (except the eggs ... what's with people? a storm is coming and they clean out the eggs shelves??)

(the 3 week supply MREs are in the garage for just in case).

oh and spankybear, my package was waiting when I got home!

Good to hear you stocked up. We have about 20 lbs of fresh meat from costco we just stuck in the freezer. From what I hear, I don't expect to have power tomorrow night, but I love a good doomsday plan, so we will see.

The Safeway on 228th was mobbed with people buying groceries....way to wait a few extra days sheepies!

The line ran all the way back to the bakery. I bought my 3 packages of hashbrowns and beer in the 12 items or less line in about 45 seconds and was out

Yup, that's the Safeway we went to on the way home. It was full, but  wasn't too bad. I only had a few items and zipped through pretty fast using the express lane.

I spent the rest of the day after deciding to go home early by creating my man cave from what had been a storage room in the basement. Still needs a mini fridge, a tv and a couch, but for now it has my essentials organized on the little grow shelf thing that the druggies who lived in my house before I bought it left behind.
