Do you actually use an impact driver for steel studs? (I had no idea that tool had an application there)

I'm on my 3rd impact driver, (Makita versions). Coolest tool I own.

Right on. Excellent tool that many don't know about.

I stumbled on to them when building decks on the dryside. They drive deck screws like nobodys business, and have since come in handy on everything from concrete forms to adjusting a door jamb. Makes a hammer and nail look obsolete in some circumstances.

I discovered them whilst building a deck too. I was using my cordless drill to drive deck screws and my thumb went numb from pushing so hard. I was complaining to someone and they turned me onto the cordless impact. I won't be without one now.

Roger that! I'm waiting on a new Exofit as we speak. Fucking PCL, 8th largest general contractor in the US apparently go that way by not giving out safety equipment in a timely manner, was told after 90 days of employment they'd give me a new one. AT 100 days currently, still wearing the Exofit I showed up with. Prolly be wearing it when I quit in January too if things at work continue the same course. I heard McClone was crewing up again. Yea for me!
