So, its apparently been decided that I need to invest is some sort of motorcycle, what say you? I'm a cheap bastard, I have the money to buy said bike, I just hate spending money on anything non-firearm related. IF anyone could give me some dang good reasons for owning a bike, I'm all ears. |
I bought mine in late July, rode the hell out of it for a few weeks then went back to carpooling to work. I've ridden it too work once since I put the ammocan saddlebags on it. At least its paid for, since I won't be doing a lot more riding this fall, I dont feel bad. ![]() If you want a motorcycle, get one. They're fun, but bear in mind unless you're into wearing raingear the season is about over. |
This would mostly be for next spring, the little car I have is well beyond its expected service life, and am pretty sure it will be dead by then (granted, I expected it to die well over a year ago). And while I very well may have 2 other vehicles after that one dies, I'm going to need something that gets good gas mileage. I plan on buying one that needs some work (mostly because its cheaper, but also because I can fix diesel and gas cars/truck, and aeroplanes, and yet I know dick about bikes) that I can fix/modify/trick out oldschool over the winter. I would be paying cash, I'm not going into debt for a bike. Also, currently thinking about a 1980 Yamaha XS1100S, anyone ever have one? |
