I'm in the market for a gun safe. Nothing too elaborate, and preferably between tumwater and Tacoma.

I've looked at cabelas and sportsman's warehouse, and they have similar options. My budget is $200-$300, and i need it to hold at least 6 rifles, but more is always better.

This thread's only for advice/suggestions. I've also posted a specific wtb in the ee for offers/etc

ETA: Went to NW Safes in Enumclaw and picked up the used Liberty.
Pics!

Sportco in Fife, I picked one up that will fit in my closet in my bedroom a while back for $277, there is no tax on safes either.  They have a good selection as well, from budget to the super deluxe models.

I'm a feeb, but, I will donate my services anyway. When you find one, LMK. We can have 'em toss it in the back of my Toyota pickup and we'll git 'er to your place. Might require some more beef to move it, though I am willing to clap or boo as needed. I have a good handtruck, too.

NW Safe Co in Enumclaw Has a used Liberty Centurion 12 with a S&G Group II lock on it for $299.00! Thats a 20-25 minute fire rated safe with a 12 gauge body thats rated to hold 6-10 guns depending on the gun. Any other safe for less than oh probably $400 or so will usually only be a steel gun locker thats only good for keeping out your kids, and they dont have a fire lining.

True, and it'll definitely be tomorrow. My work errands took way too long today.

Also, I need Snopczynski to re-send his e-mail. I accidentally deleted it without reading it.

+1 for Sportco.

And +1 for NWSafe.  Great bunch of people.

Yeah, Enumclaw is a ways out, but they usually bring a few to the WAC show.  Probably be there this coming one in Puyallup.

If that don't work out, I aways thought those Job Boxes would do a pretty good job if you bolted them down and loaded them up with ammo. You can get them at Home Depot for a few dead presidents.

You dont want a cannon, thats the best warranty on paper in the industry. Its the worst actual warranty when you try to use it. I have pretty much only heard bad things about them when people have tried to have stuff fixed or covred under warranty. I would say that just about every other brand of safe has no problems with their warranty from what I have heard and seen.
