So I had an interesting experience at the WalMart parking lot in Poulsbo today. Dropped by there today. My wife stayed in the car with our baby, 'cause the baby was asleep. I ran in to pick up some shoddy Chi-Com merchandise. On the back window of our wagon, we've got a oval 1911 sticker. As I was unloading my crap into the back of the car, a 50-ish woman walked up to me. Here's our conversation: Her: "I saw your sticker, and I had to find out. What does the 1911 signify?" Me: "Oh, it's a type of handgun." Her: "A type of Panda?" Me: "No, a type of handgun." Her: "OH!" [horrified scuttling] I haven't seen an older woman move that fast in awhile. I'm kinda thinking maybe the sticker is a little too flashy though. |
Nope. Liberals have considered both sides of an argument, and choose liberalism. Sheep have NOT considered both sides, they just follow whatever Oprah or Obama says. They can still come over to our side, we just have to outperform their idol(s). |
To be fair, there are sheep on bothe sides of the political spectrum. There are just as many people who just blindly follow whatever Bush or McCain says. |

I disagree. You give liberals far too much credit. Liberals "go with their heart". They do not consider anything other then what makes them "feel good", and they run with it. They have not been taught critical thinking skills and therefore are unable to consider things from "both sides", and then choose anything. I caught a little bit of the DNC and was punished with a song from sheryl crow that was pretty much all about removing their thought process from their head and instead thinking with their hearts. I hate to do this to you, but as an example of their thought process, go to the followiing video and fast forward to 4:35 in and listen to that fucked up song. Example of how libs choose to give up free thought for whoever can manipulate their feelings In other words,....Liberals suck.
As pointed out, sheep exist on both sides. Unicorn said that apathetic sheep are the worst, and I will whole heartedly concour. While there are cheerleeders on all sides, it is the apathetic, "non-political" nitwits who are the worst. Basically what they are saying is that they can be bought. It won't matter who really is more qualified for a political job, they will vote for whoever they percieve will give them the most from the govt. coffers. They are easily manipulated, and thusly, tend to swing democrat if and when they get motivated at all. Althouth, considering the sheep in questions reaction to learning that it was a gun, my first inclination would be to think that she's a full blown liberal instead of an apathetic sheep. |

I've met a few liberals who have considered both sides of a given argument (gun control, social issues, etc) and they did make a conscious decision to value "liberalism"...their personal values is what makes the difference. Most liberals do use "emotionalism" instead of rational thought...but not all. |
"If we could just get out of our heads...and into our hearts..." Well, duh. Teh Mighty Dali Llama "inspired" the song...Eastern thought -v- western thought, yet again at odds. But hey, we're all equal...  This fight has been going on for a looooong time now; and the lack of recognition of this by the Republicans is one of the reasons why I have no faith in their ultimate victory in the US. |
