Just my .02 from being in the Aerospace World: A company that peddles aerospace components that has 15 employees and 1.2 Million a year in total sales should be choking with airframe work. I wouldn't think being that size that they needed to be out looking at a different market. Once again just MHO, I don't know the owner or business plan. Just makes me wonder. |
Owner(s) pet project maybe? o.k. i want one for the home town cool factor |
I think Mega and Tactical Solutions both have a foundation in the aerospace industry. I checked through the Washington State Secretary's webpage and the president of Aero and Mega are different. Wonder if the president of Aero started out at Mega or took some notes. Two machine shops in the same area making lowers?... Am I looking to muck into this? I've been eating a lot of Cheez-its lately. |
The link phil gave the guys said they do Noveske lowers.. I dunno about it?? But ya the only reason y i would want one is the Hometown thing |
Mega started making lowers when the PNW aerospace business was in the shitter. When aerospace business picked up they curtailed their lower production. They bought new CNC machines to produce uppers and lowers within the last year. It must be profitible for both Mega and Aero Precision to manufacture lowers or else they would not do it. Remember too that there's still quite a few small machine shops in the Puget Sound area that are looking for business, so I doubt that any one machine shop would be choking with business. |
