| whats the difference between a single and two stage trigger? |
|
A single stage has one point of resistance. There will generally be a certain amount of 'pre-travel' and then you feel 'the wall'. You then increase pressure until the gun fires. A two stage trigger will have two points of resistance after the pre travel. After the first point of resistance, there will be a lengthy travel to the next and final 'wall'. Then it behaves the same as a single stage, but often at much lighter weight than a typical single stage trigger. Quality or desirable (match type) triggers will have very little or no perceptible pre-travel, and the same for over-travel, which is how far the trigger moves after the gun fires. HTH |
