Nice looking AK you got there! I sure love the utility and function of that weapon. I think you're smart to go with the 551 hand guards as well. From what the Internet tells me, that's a good way to shave off a lot of front weight and change the balance of the rifle. Congratulations! |
Just got some in the store. Two with side folders and one is the SWAT rifle.Had three in about a month ago didn't last but a week and a half. Excellent chose in gas piston rifle. If I didn't love my POF so much I would have gone with the SIG. I wish they would build one in 7.62. Enjoy it

| I'm not a huge fan of the sidefolder since its a one peice plastic buffer tube. but other than that it's great. We weighed the complete rifles and the Commando was .4lbs lighter if I remember correctly. You can definitly tell the differnce. It feels like a completely differnt rifle. I friend just baught the normal 556 so we will take them out Saturday and bring back a range report. IMO the 551 handguards are a must for this rifle. |

Did you ever get your SIG? I picked up one and have B&T fore end ordered for it, pnce I put the ACOG on it and a SOPMOD stock shes almost my favorite rifle. I like the 551 hand guards but they are always out of stock sooooI'm thinking just order a Commando and be done with it. |
