Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon or Toyota FJ Cruiser? Before you ask, I'm just wondering what you think is better and why. Just for giggles. They are cool rigs. No I"m not getting one.

My sons girlfriend has a Wrangler Sahara Unlimited and untill I really checked one out I did not really give them a second thought now I really do like them, tops off, doors off what more do you want? Ok if it were me I would drop a LS1 ETA One of my friends has a FJ and to be honest I'm NOT impressed. Its nothing like the old FJ40's I know its not supposed to be but hell its history is off road and there now it sucks. The Jeep still stands true to its herritage. |

I'm still not sure what I think about the looks of either. So I'd vote on the following Roof come off? (Do you care?) Leg Room? (FJ looks smaller) Storage room? (Again FJ looks smaller) History? (Both are relatively new, however the Jeep appears to be built off a Cherokee Frame) Engine? (I know nothing about the engine in either, do you plan on towing? Driving up hills?) Fuggit, get both. |
+1 The ghey soccermom IFS sucks. If I want an SUV that drives like a minivan on and off road, I'll get a fucking minivan. |
I like the look of the FJ.. I just couldn't make myself buy one because of the suspension setup When they first came out Toyota made this big deal about how great the IFS was, even though a solid axle was better for just about everything else, they claimed IFS was still good enough in the right hands ![]() The FJ is/was one of the few still made in Japan.. not sure if that's changed. |

I heard about the FJ Cruiser before it came out, and I was so excited. Then I saw it, and I couldn't quite believe it. It's like each part was designed by a committee, and all the committees weren't allowed to talk to each other. It's more money than I will ever spend on a vehicle, but if you're looking for a balls to the wall, utilitarian Toyota, I'd get a TLC Icon. Diesel! |
That is sooo badass. |

I've had my Jeep (Grand Cherokee) for 2.5 years, just under 40k miles and not a single problem. Well, except that LCR bastard that goes around slashing tires (But I don't' find that to be Jeeps fault)! Really, buy what you want... Don't listen to the haters, most of them are probably driving Honda Hybrids and trying to convince you that their farts don't stink... |
