I am not saying McCain is the answer, but come on, look at your options. Yes, I know Ron Paul would be the messiah, but that’s not going to happen. At this rate,
the republican party is going to get Hilary elected...

It only won't happen if nobody votes for him. If you know in your heart that he is the messiah (figuratively speaking) then why not vote for him?

It does not show how McCain has consistently blocked the declassification of documents on POW, the for-ever secret classification has prevented the rescue of Gulf War one POWs.

What McCain has done recently against the constitution and the American people is unforgivable.

Oh I am by no means a McCain supporter. I don’t like the guy much. Do I think Ron Paul is grounded in the constitution and has a lot to offer? Yes. Yet how can he win the presidency? He has not gone out of his way to be a whore for his supporters like many politicians do. But Americans by and large are dependent on the government in one way or another.

Unfortunately, it is a very realistic possibility we will be forced to vote for whom will do the LEAST disservice to the American people  and the constitution. With either McCain or Witch/Hussein you are going to lose a few things. Whom will you lose more from?

The constitution was supposed to be a law that protected the people from bad politicians, the founders knew that men are not angels and if left unrestrained they would destroy the nation for their own selfish interests.

But law is powerless if not enforced and if inferior codes are enforced below the supreme law of the land the la become more damaging than anything else.

By compromising and voting for the leftist of two evils it destroys the conservative platform, just like we have in this current election, the only thing we can do now is draw a line between the right and the wrong and refuse to give ground.

Either we enforce the law or the law will kill us.

The problem is that we as a people have been voting with that mentality for several decades now. We have continuiously moved our line in the sand closer and closer to the corner and now we are at the point where we are completley boxed in. There ain't a hell of a lot of diference between McCain and Hillary. Either one will sign the AWB into law when it comes across his/her desk. Either one will tax us into absolute despotism when the bill comes across his/her desk. Either one will open the floodgates on the southern border and sign off on the North American Union when the bill comes across his/her desk. We have kept moving and relocating the line in the sand to the point where our backs are literally up against the wall and there isn't any room to fall back to. I know tryanny is coming down the pike like a fucking freight train but I sure as hell won't vote for it. It's time to take a stand and vote on constitutional principles. We at this time no longer have the luxury of voting for the lesser of 2 evils because both of these evils are really bad.

You know what? I completely agree Reddawg...So what do we do? What do we do if Ron Paul does not run past the primary?

In that case I would vote for Ron Paul as a write in candidate. I would do this knowing full well that all is lost and the republic and all that it stands for is going into the ash heap of history like the demise of the Roman empire. If Ron Paul does not win the nomination then there is literally nothing we can do "politically" to improve our lot. Like I said before "tyranny is coming at me like a freight train but I will not vote for it." I can't stop it but I won't vote for it.

But then again I might just say fuck it all and vote for Hillary simply because she is marginally worse than McCain. Either way we are fucked. By voting for Clitler it would speed up the inevitible which at that time would be ok with me because what would I have left to lose? Let's face it, if we the people are only given the choice of 2 tyrants both of whom are evil then I would pick the worst one just to wake everyone the fuck up. Not that it would make any difference at that point in time. But at least we would see the evil we are faced with and deal with it accordingly. It's not a very happy outcome if that happens but WTF, we play the hand we're dealt. The bottom line is that if RP doesn't get the nomination and also win the election then we are screwed. These are interesting times we live in. As fucked up as it is I wouldn't want to live in any other time. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. Who knows, maybe we'll all get the chance to impliment the 2nd amendment for it's intended purpose!

There is a lot more out there than the AWB. In fact, the solution for that is to keep a congress intact that will not pass it. That is what President Bush was counting on and the current ones are only getting a handful of support and it worked. The same should be held true now. Both McCain and Witch/Hussein are bad news for gun owners. The solution is keep a good congress intact.

On everything else? The War, the economy, our future? It is a crap shoot.

Does not have to be !

Look at the history of crumbling empires, they always fragment even when the empire sports the largest most powerful advanced military in the world, the shear of America is too big to control through force.

99% of people could care less about politics and their form of government as long as they can raise their families with a decent standard of living with hope for the future which requires a justice system to maintain stability.

The most efficient form of government is township common law, starts very small at the local level and goes up  through the precinct county state level, the greatest power is retained at the lowest level, the upper levels have very little to do and are not burdensome.

What makes it all possible is the gun, at the time of the middle ages it took great skill and money to wield a sword the average person could not afford a sword much less the training necessary and totally intimidated by the armored knight on the giant horse until the firearm cam along, now even the peasant can pull a trigger and destroy a costly knight with armor.

Near future may look dark indeed but has a very bright outcome if we all do our part.
To have no proud monarch driving over me with his gilt coaches; nor his host of excise-men and tax-gatherers insulting and robbing me; but to be my own master, my own prince and sovereign, gloriously preserving my national dignity, and pursuing my true happiness; planting my vineyards, and eating their luscious fruits; and sowing my fields, and reaping the golden grain: and seeing millions of brothers all around me, equally free and happy as myself. This, sir, is what I long for.
