I did this today.  I live in a tiny house, so my mudroom was the only option for a workspace.  It's not quite a manroom, but rather "man closet."  Any suggestions as to where I should anchor the grinder and vise?

I think with just a small area, the vise and grinder should go on a portable plate that you could clamp onto the benchs when you need it/them. The frame is a bit weak to do a barrel change on though.

I am concerned with this.  I'm gonna try it anyway though.  If it doesn't work, I'll anchor the benches to the floor and hope for the best.

If you need some extra bracing let me know, I have a ton.

1GR had a man closet, but he came out of that a long time ago.

Ask TRG for details.

Put the vice with plenty of room on all sides (like where you have it now). You'll use it 10x more than the grinder.

Not really any room for the bench grinder in there, especially considering Dinos proper warning.... but I'll say in the center towards the back maybe.

Needs a small fridge for your beer!

Other than that... It works!

I'd used the grinder out side. They make a big mess.

No kidding

I'm lucky I can use my grandpa's shop for all that stuff, even put some of my own tools in up there since its inside so it's always dry.

Looks good.

I've decided to have a man workroom and a man storage room in my man house. I have a tiny 4 BR so I will use one BR for working, one for the safe and other storage, and one for a guest room. The master BR is a decent size so I will just use it for my router and desktop/laptop work area. I use a laptop exclusively right now so I can pretty much just use it anywhere once I hook up the wireless.

I have a thread here if anyone would like to provide input. It isn't a firm decision and will likely be toward the end of winter before I actually get started on the work room (already have the safe room going together.)

Yeah, there's just not room for it.  I'm thinking of putting it atop a stand made of steel wheel (hopefully something I can get for cheap if not free), pipe, and quarter inch plating.  Anyone got an old rusted wheel they wanna get rid of?

Koter has 4, you'll have to unbolt them from his Scout.

That's funny and sad at the same time He keeps telling us about that scout, but I haven't seen it around since he got that new 4x.

Which one made it to LCR in April I think?

Good spot for the vise. Depending on direction, torque will be pulling the bench away from the wall or lifting the front of the bench. I'd anchor the front legs to the floor and the back of the frame to wall studs.
