I'm kind of losing faith in you guys, especially the mods. My last thread titled "...to harass our people and ear out their substance" was imediately locked. So here's one for you. Let's see how long it lasts before it's locked too. Maybey I should take a poll on it! All joking aside, the point I'm trying to make is that the rules have changed and this is no longer the country it's supposed to be. There are some people who post on this website who just can't handle the reality of the situation. So what are "YOU" going to do when you hear "Knock-Knock"?

Wow Great piece ....

Humm Pictures of Swat officers executing drug, weapon, or felony raids made to look like gustappo is walking the street.  Real cleaver!

Most likely DEA or undercover narc agents who do cover their faces so that they can continue their line of work made to look like storm troopers.

The Active Denial System (ADS) is a NON-LETHAL weapon.  I'm all for it. Would you rather cops just start shooting instead?  Then you'll have MORE material that they just wanted to kill!  Brilliant, now people are complaining about the use on non-lethal weapons.  Which do you want?!?!?

Pictures of police forces from different countries while the narrator bashes US police.  Sneaky.

Police in Riot gear controlling a crowd.  If I was standing on that conga line I'd want a baton, helmet, body armor, and shield too.  I'm sorry, but I work in down town, I was in the center of the WTO riots just trying to go home from work.  I saw the bottles, rocks, and anything else that could be thrown BEING thrown.

I did find a few of the school raid stories interesting and would like to learn more about those.  My gut feeling is that some of them are made to look a little more dramatic then they really were, but will not comment further on something that I'm unaware of.

While I agree that SOME cops and police depts can be a bit over the top. Op Ed pieces like that are using the one bad apple spoiling entire bunch approach are (in my opinion) a stretch and slightly disgusting (not to mention unimaginative).  How does it make you feel when the Anti-gun population use the DC Sniper as an excuse to ban ALL EBRs?  Or use VA Tech, Columbine, Tacoma Mall (and the list goes on) as excuses to take guns away from those of us that LEGALLY own them and DON'T go on shooting rampages?

ETA: I went back and viewed the other video you posted.  The cop CLEARLY says "this isn't meant to intimidate you".  You shouldn't believe everything you read!  I would love to see that cop go to the guy in the blue shirts place of work, get in his face and bug the shit out of him.  The cop showed great restraint.  I personally wouldn't have!

I'm not sure where your going with these videos.  While they are good conversation pieces they are no better than the anti-everything protesters that only show you what they WANT you to see.  These tactics were discussed when the anti-war dipshits with no jobs (that I'm probably paying for with my tax dollars) camped out at the port of Tacoma in a very sad attempt to keep forces from deploying.

I've learned to sip the kool-aid, to avoid brain freeze. If we wait until they are knocking on our doors, we're done for. Our founding fathers went out  and took the iniative.

I did some reading up on both School raids pointed out in the video.  While I will agree the actions were over the top, both incidents were initiated by the schools respective principals.   If a bomb threat is called in, do you blame the police for taking action even though a bomb is not found?

At Goose Creek (Stratford High), the Principal felt a drug problem.  What isn’t mentioned in the video is that drugs we previously bought from students. So at least some level of undercover work was done.  Drug dogs did detect the presence of drugs on several backpacks and lockers.  I saw a drug dog demonstration when I was in school, they are TRAINED to detect the drugs and sit there and bark, thus alerting their handler.  The video of dogs barking in students faces was most likely because those students, at one time, had some form of drugs in their backpacks and that is what the dogs picked up.  The video is produced to make you believe the police were using the dogs as a form of intimidation.

In the Wyoming, Michigan school raid the officers were not made aware that the students didn’t  know it was a drill.  Again, it was the principal’s call.  He didn’t alert his teachers until moments before it happened as well.  It was a drill setup in response to high school shootings that seemed to be the fad that year.  It was a pretty stupid choice to perform the “drill” in that manor, but when you are trying to make it the most realistic, I can see where the through process was.  I’ll have to say after reading about this one, I’m pretty disturbed by the parents.  THEY are the ones that bitch and complain that the police aren’t doing enough to protect kids in the event of school shootings, but they are also the first to complain when the police are trying to ready themselves for such an event.

Could both of these situations been handled differently?  Your damn right they could have.  Was there an obvious over reaction at some point? Yes but it seems to be at the level of a scared principal who wants to either appease parents that his school is safe or doesn’t want to lose his job over a drug problem at his school.  Again, they are both pretty stupid situations, BUT videos like that are no better than the gun grabbers putting their political spin on videos and blogs make a case against our guns.

I will be doing the same thing YOU will be doing...  getting up from the PC to see who is at the door.

BTW, did you notice that your thread here seems to have been locked because you already posted it in another forum?

Yeah, I came out of my bedroom once and looked down the hall to see someone shining a flashlight in the front window searching the room.

Then the PD wondered why I crept around the corner all suspicious and asked what they wanted before I opened the door.

A few days later, apparently, the Sheriff came to serve me with papers at 2pm. I was working graveyard and slept right through it. They never broke down the door, just left. And they never served me the papers before they expired, THANKFULLY.

I simply don't answer the door at all anymore.

I see this from two angles.  I have a friend who is former SPD SWAT.  It makes sense that the police are best equipped for standoffs.  "Officer Friendly" wouldnt have a chance in a drug bust if things got out of hand.

Obey laws that are just, peacably dispute laws that aren't, and never, ever, EVER, trust the government or become complacent.
