The place where I have shot in the past is now technically closed to shooting.  Anyone want to let me in on their super secret shooting spots?  (And sorry for not avoiding annoying alliteration)

On another note, I finally got to use my p12 for the first time!  I have a long way to go, but it works great.

It makes me glad that you know what alliteration is!
hoorah for you!

Meanwhile, a gallant gaggle of geese is getting a glimpse of gypsy grandeur while going to Greece over grass and gravel in a groovy gondola.

Don't know how far away from monroe you are, but we spent the day running team shooting courses of fire.

Both pistol and carbine, mostly close range, target recognition, muzzle and fire-lane control, bounding over-watch. etc.

1: I invented alliteration (yes, I AM that old!), 2: Evidently, you need more sleep.

This would be nice to know. The only place I've found so far has been outside Cle Elum (I'm in Sammamish) so it's a bit of a drive.

That's great and all, but you're PROBABLY not going to get to many hits.  Most people don't like to share shoot spots because they get blown up and shut down.  Others, just don't trust anyone...

Well that sucks.Guess I shouldn't have talked about the spot I saw around Cle Elum.

I get it though, if I had an UBER-1337 shooting spot I wouldn't want many people knowing about it...

Its not even that.  It's that if you have a spot, and you tell 1 person.  They take another person, and that person takes another person or two, and they take people and so on.  Pretty soon the spot is over run. And people being people (some being dirt bags) don't clean up after themselves.  Then some tree hugger comes along, and sees ammo boxes, gatoraid bottles, targets, etc and gets the area closed down.

There are a lot of places that have already been shut down because of actions similar to that...

So basically drive around sparsely populated areas and look for places to legally shot. Got it.

^^^^^ its not like that, Brian...
1) come to non-shoot events to get to know us and vice versa (gun shows are good for this).

2) when we say they "always forget to bring the beer", we mean it...  Break the trend!

BTW, I am trying to get a small group (20 or so) together for a shoot on the 14th or 15th between Belfair and Shelton if you or Moxy are interested...

Yeah, what Rune said...

Attend an LCR, it's the best way to understand this group. There are some shootings posted every now an then.

No, I'm prettty damn sure....  I bought and 18 pack of BUD-LIGHT, and an 18 Pack of Coors Original.  I drank one of those OG Coors at the April LCR (Because they were still there).

Brought some MGD to the LCR in April.  Felt out of place.  Left early.  Whatever.

Honestly, I would rather meet a person at a fun show before I meet him at a gun range...  But thats just me.

Keep in mind, I met all of you at shoots, including yourself. And, have opened my home up to any and all, on occasion.... considering...

Someone send the man an IM and let him know we'll share the tinfoil, and show him how to fold it right.

If I'm wrong... cover me, I'm goin' in!

Belfair, hey?

Thats a pretty long drive for me (redmond/woodinville area) but I DO want to head down there cause I mailed a guy a paintball gun, he was supposed to send a knife back.  I got the notice that he recieved the marker, but he decided to be a fuck and not send the knife or the gun back.

I think I'm going to call him up (from a pay phone) and tell him I'm coming down there one of these days, see what happens...

Alright well I am only 20 so it might be a no go on me bringing some beer, although I could get my hands on some

Would that make me the youngest dude to show up (discounting wee little children)?

I will keep checking the boards for shoots and what not and might head up to one if that's cool, I've been shooting since I about 10 so I promise I won't do anything stupid.
