I have a beautifull Sprifield M1A with a Wichester chrome lined barrel that is a real tack driver. I recently sold a SOCOM and I was planning to use the funds from that to get a DPMS LR-308. I have a Sheppard scope and I was looking for a good gun to mount it on. I have since reconsidered my options and I think I would get more bang for my buck by getting a really good high end scope mount for my M1A. I want something that can easily be removed and reinstalled and still maintain zero. If any of you ARFCOM M1A Shooters have any sugestions please feel free to chime in on this.

Figure on using detachable rings on the mount to meet your easily removable requirement. None of the mounts are made to be removed and replaced while holding a zero.

I have that exact set up currently. I love the Sheppard scope on the M1A and I use a LaRue QR mount on an SEI base. The M1A is my favorite gun to shoot, the scope always returns to zero....Never had a problem. I get 3/4 inch groups at 100 yards.

I love to shot enemy oranges at 300 yards   Intact beer cans are also fun.

I have one of these on my M1A, its a nice solid mount. The only negative about it is the mounting screws aren't captured but thats minor.
