Anyone a member there or shot there before? I can drive to that range about as quickly as any other. Just wondering how it is and if their prices on ammo and firearms are any good. Thanks. |

I believe that there is a $50 application fee and the annual fee is $115 for civilians. Not sure about a background check fee. Lower fees and no application fee for LEO's, reserve LEO's, active military and a bunch of others. Info at: SPD Range Info |
Count me in, I live about 10 min from there. I swear it was more expensive when I checked into it 4 years ago.

+1 I work 5 min from there. |
This info is correct; there is no additional background check fee for new members AFAIK (been a member there about 3 years now). The facilities are nice as long as the weather isn't too bad, as most are covered but open air (1-50 yd pistol, 50-100-200 yd rifle, single and 5-stand trap shotgun, 10-50 yd archery). Being members and guests only, you tend to get fewer questionable characters than some ranges, although just before hunting season the rifle range can get pretty scary. ![]() They just started to allow "Aimed, not rapid, semi-automatic fire" on the rifle range on a trial basis; prior to that it was 1 round in the mag only. The shotgun range was closed for a while due to some issues with pellets landing on railroad property, but they seem to have been resolved. #8 birdshot is the only ammo allowed for shotguns, and you may not sight in slugs on the rifle or pistol ranges. I've never paid much attention to their ammo prices as I always buy in bulk online. Their firearm prices are generally pretty good; Glock prices are exceptional. |

I shoot there with my father on occasion. You can attend a brief tutorial on running the trap range and you can sign out a key to the machine to launch your own clays. The gentlemen who work the counter are friendly and the prices there are pretty damn good. They will order anythign you want for a few percent over cost. Very nice setup. If I didn't live in Snohomish County I'd be a member. |
