Went to Mary's Pistols to pick-up my new SLR106FR. They were completely out of .223/5.56 ammo Went to ben's Loans to pick up the ammo - not only is the price sky-rocketing but they have their last Federal in stock. I talked to a couple of the guys and they were saying that once what they have in stock runs out they have no idea if/when they'll get more. They said it's all going to the military (gee, why do they need so much?) At this rate the mil will be using Wolf ammo in a few months

True, but how could they quietly limit the manufacture and availability of ammunition? There are obviously other market forces at work here. I should have bought a ton more of that AE223 when it was only $3.99/box just a few short months ago. |

It's a shame you are on the north end.. I know a bunch of places that have all types down here...  I scored some Golden Tiger 7.62x39 for $185 out the door at a shop in PDX yesterday  My AK's need ammo the most or I would've bought some Wolf MC .223 for the same price
