I'm looking for recommendations on shooting (what else) ranges around Seattle. I've read the page on Washington ranges and checked some of the websites. I've been to the Issaquah range and the Renton range, and I'm gonna check out the Kenmore range today but I was hoping some of the fine people on here could recommend places they've been to and liked or didn't like, and why. Thanks |
The RSOs at the Southcenter Mall parking lot can get kinda annoying. |
| I would not recommend Kenmore unless you like loading one round at a time. SVRC is ok with loaded mags. Cascade is great (50BMG friendly). Some require membership. SVRC is my home range, let me know if you wanna hook up to go out there. I will be out there Sunday for sure. |

I've been thinking of joining up with SVRC, too--who do I talk to, and can I get a look (and quick try) at the range first? The only thing I don't really like about Issaquah is that the whole thing is sloped uphill, and you can't post side-by-side targets (real pain when you're trying to sight in something and you'd like a fresh bullseye). The rangemaster's a nice lady, though, and an encouraging number of the people I see there are EBR friendly. I went the day before Easter and it was hopping with AKs, one M1A, some SKS's, a couple ARs, and one guy even had a freakin' AUG. |
as rogue asked, is there a trial before you buy the membership? If you are going sunday, can I tag? |
It is a nice range, a bit spendy though. |
Issaquah is an alright range, I definitely prefer SVRC though, I'm pissed at myself for letting my membership expire. Oh and I'm pretty sure I went to the range the day before Easter with my M1A, might have been me haha. |
R-32 Doesn't like SVRC...They "used" to "support" FOT ![]() Long Story....Happy ending! |
I too am looking for a range. What is this one round at a time rule you speak of? that just sounds like it defeats the entire purpose! |
Were you with another guy, sighting in the M1A and an SKS with a spotting scope, and adjusting the front sights after almost every shot? Yeah, I was about two benches down with the brand-spanking-new Saiga carbine. |
Yup, that was me with my dad. We were trying to adjust the elevation of the front sight but it didn't seem to be working so that's why we were doing that so often, turns out the tool we were using was slipping thereby not adjusting the sight at all, ha. |
