I picked up a Mossberg 44us this weekend at the elma gun show. However, I think it needs to be recrowned. Any good recomendations for getting a barrel crowned. I have seen some kits on brownells and cabellas but im not sure if this is something I want to do myself. Any input would be appreciated.

If it is not really bad, you can use a ball bearing, and lapping compound.

So how exactly would I do this?

Brownells crowning tool super easy to use, insert the correct arbor and turn it a few times, done.

+21 on that. Be careful, though. Some kits have a brass arbor. Not terribly difficult to snap off.

Far as I can tell your link is simply a sized brass rod for rubbing 600 grit lapping compound on the muzzle. The link I provided earlier is a muzzle facing kit with at least 2 different profile chamfer thingys, 11 deg. and 45 deg.  I dont have one myself, I borrowed a buddy's and the kit had both chamfers. Super easy to use, and if you ever plan to buy anymore screwed up rifles or wanna cut a barrel down, there's a use for the kit.
