So it was raining about a half hour ago, light sprinkles and some heavy raindrops.
Then about 15 minutes ago it was hailing.
That lasted for about 5 minutes.
Now it's snowing big fluffy snowflakes.

And the sun is still shining.

Oh my, there's a dusting of snow on the road, there's a 4 car back-up at the main intersection in town, there's been a run on generators at Home Depot, Shucks and Walmart, all of the gas stations are out of gas...

Holy Crap...

It just took me 2.5 hours to get from DT Seattle to Mill Creek.  1+ hour to get all but 1 mile from my exit (164th), and Hour to go the last mile. and another 30 minutes to get down 164th which is now an ice skating rink!

This morning in Tacoma, we had some snow. School was two hours late, no biggie. Not even 20 minutes ago, it started to snow, and we already have 1 inch+ in places where the snow had melted in the sun this afternoon.

But this is the good stuff, not like what I woke up to, this snow is snowball snow....

6-8" in the Hilltop of Tacoma. Every Hooptie in the Hilltop is spun out. The roads are nearly impassable, no plows in site. It is going to be a fun ride home in the morning. I had to drive a 14 passenger van to work tonight, it is 2 wheel drive and has no chains, A special thanks to Pierce Transit to properly outfitting their vans.

When I left Olympia last night at about 10 it was pretty clear.  Driving through Tacoma wasa bitch, a lot more snow there.  Kent (near Emerald Downs) had about 4-6 inches when I got there at just before midnight.  Now everything is just icy.

Hehe R32, that made me laugh. At least ,for the most part, we're prepared for winter hereabouts. Its sunny, and 18 degrees here today and Ive got about 20" of snow in the yard, and maybe 4 " of compacted ice in the driveway. Tomorrow's forecast is 10 degrees  and snow starting Saturday, weeee!  

A condo in someplace warm does sound nice right about now.
