Anybody take any rifle training classes on the wet side? Please elaborate on when/where/price/worth/lessons learned/etc. |

FAS seems pretty popular: archive.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=15&t=235177 archive.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=36&t=225387 archive.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=36&t=225315 archive.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=36&t=234543 If you search the archives further back than one year you can probably find more informative posts. |

When you do decide to take classes you'll have a new Galati / AR15.Com 37" XT Rifle Case to carry your gear in! www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=75&t=527485 |

Insights General Defensive Rifle I took this class several years ago when I had just purchased my first AR-15. Instructors are very good, professional, non-dogmatic about what they instruct. Well-paced between range time and discussion time. Held at an indoor range, so it's not really going to test your long-range skills, but for learning to shoot quickly close-in I highly recommend it. |
I concur. I spent time taking this class before learning any bad habits. Insights is top notch and good people. I've also taken their general defensive handgun and defensive folding blade classes--both similarly useful and full of good material. After taking the rifle class, I learned that there are advantages to a lightweight build after carrying a heavy barrel around for 2 days. You'll need a CPL or other "proof of good character" to take classes with them. |
thats looks like a good set of courses, wouldn't mind take the rifle, glock and genreal hand courses.. |
