Kathy is home for the rest of the year. Hallmark closed and she doesn't want to work another Christmas. So she's taking the rest of the year off. I have a snowflake's chance in hell of staying out of trouble if I hang around the house. |

Hell yes! Were inside the cabin so its not like I am sitting in the weather... I am going to add a boat heater soon too to make sure I can run it all winter, man there are soooo many clear days year round I would sure hate to miss going out, fishing, etc... hell its just fun going out and seeing the sights... took the wife to Roche harbor weekend before last, man that was sooo fun. Took 4 1/2 to get there and along the way we saw seals, dolphins, killer whales.... the fish finder showed tons of fish all the way there and back... we stayed over night, it was real nice.... Hell I want a little bigger boat now! LOL BTW - We still have not given it a name, but after our last outting we joking came up with the name "Super Guppy!" Why? Well our boat is not as nearly as large as the big $$ ships we saw out there, however when in open water we were movin along at 25-30 mph and leaving all the big boats in our wake... hehehehe  So you up for it?

The best blackmouth fishing in the bay is wintertime. Better fishing, calmer seas ( less wind ), alot less boat traffic etc... I used to fish area 7 ( San Juan Is ) alot a few years ago. Nothing beats a fresh caught blackmouth on the BBQ less than 12 hours after it's been caught

Kool! I am sooo glad to hear that. Maybe you could show us some of the spots you went, we could caught some more this winter! We have been going out of La Coner harbor so far so not too far away I hope... anytime ya want go let me know!

Here's some of the best spots off the top of my head. 1. If the weather / sea co-operates, head outside to Middle Bank or Salmon Bank Inside spots are: 1. Eagle Bluff 2 Thathcher Pass 3. Fidalgo head 4. Presidents channell 5. Spring Pass 6. Cattle Pt up to Snug harbour That's just a few Find bait ( on your fishfinder screen ) and fish 60-130' and have good tackle and you should be set. |
No Latte machine yet.... but ya know I have gone thru Deception Pass a few times now, I was thinking about calling you, hell that little harbor next to DP, heck I bet you could drive down the hill in a few minutes and hope aboard! I now have I think three difrent poles set up. LOL |
