The wife is seriously considering getting a CWP and buying her own handgun. I hope so, there will be one less thing to worry about for me when she goes anywhere alone. She likes the XD in .45, but it's no purse gun. We went to The Place To Shoot In Portland to try out the xd 9mm subcompact. It is a nice little gun. 10 rounds, easy recoil, great trigger. I think she will go downtown to apply for the CWP this week, but we'll see. I'm trying not to pressure her at all, and she already knows how I feel about folks taking care of themselves when attacked. |

My wife wants to get hers as well. Her store was almost robbed the other night. That was the last straw for me. I told her she needs to get her CPL and some training on the safe handling and operation of a firearm. I bought her this for our anniversary which was yesterday. Eight wonderful years.   |
She also applied for the CWP, and has asked about classes. YIPPEEEE!!
| A .380 has a little more punch than a .32 and the recoil isn't problem. With that being said I sure as hell wouldn't want to be shot with a .32. The most important thing you can have is good training and a positive mindset to do what needs to be done when the time comes. |
