There's about a 95% chance I'll miss LCR after-all, this time  My girlfriend's not going at all, b/c she accidentally double-booked and can't back out of the other thing, now. I found out today that there's a decent chance I'll have to go to some Sergeant's Major Ball or something to get my I Corps awards, which cuts Friday and half of Saturday out of my LCR possibility, and I also 99% have to go to some class on Monday, which cuts a chunk out of Sunday, too. I doubt I'll be making it to this one, either

Our very own Voils almost became the next ARMY cut out to be taking up space in every recruiting center in the US. I hear his cut out was to be wearing shower shoes, PT shorts, the Class A jacket, and Kevlar helmet. Almost forgot, also covered in a light coat of CLP.

I've got to hit The Military Police Ball on Friday Night, and Supposed to be covering down for an NCO who's leaving on Emergency Leave and take Staff Duty Saturday. I'm working my magic to Get someone else to cover Saturday, We'll see. Aint life in the Army Grand? Got about $300 worth of ammo to blow, and may not have the chance now.

I believe Voils was the following BN Soldier of the quarter Post Soldier of the year ICorps Soldier of the Year Runner up in Army Soldier of the year Or something close to that. I know he won a bunch of soldier of the somethings. |

Okay, I'm going. Whee!!!    Now: I would have been going to the SGM Ball to receive my I Corps Soldier of the Year awards. But it's not happening, so I get to go to LCR. Screw the class, the CO approved my 4-day pass Next, the way it worked was: Company Soldier of the Month Battalion Soldier of the Month Battalion Soldier of the Quarter Brigade Soldier of the Quarter Brigade Soldier of the Year Post/Corps Soldier of the Year Runner-up FORSCOM Soldier of the Year Had I won FORSCOM, I would have competed for HQDA Soldier of the Year. I would have been competing against the TRADOC, USASOC, MEDCOM, USAREC, and whatever other MACOM winners there are. End result, however: I get to go to LCR! |
