This Saturday, at Lake Sammamish State Park, in the Rotunda, there will be a large gathering of cigar smokers. Bring some beverages and your own steaks. It's a potluck, so there will be plenty of food. The cigars will be exceptional, if past events are any indication. |

Actually, some of us will be there closer to 8 am for breakfast. We will then move on to mid-morning, lunch, mid-afternoon, afternoon, dinner and supper meals. There will be lots of meat on the Bar B all day long, briskets, ribs, chicken, pulled pork, etc. Some of the best ribs anywhere. Steaks will be cooked later in the evening, assuming anyone can still eat by then. People are asked to bring something to go along with all the meat, at some point in the day, and anything special you may wish to drink. One of the reasons we use a state park is that you can consume adult beverages there. We do not, however encourage or tolerate any drunkeness because of the women folk and kids that attend. We will be hanging around the fire until approx 2200 hours, enjoying cigars, a drink and some good company. Past crowds have run from 50-75 people and this is the 6th year of this event. A couple of poker tables will be going for most of the day and evening. Conversation and just hanging out. We other reason we hold this in the park so that it can be heavy cigar, but also spouse/sig-other and child friendly. Any lover of a good cigar, or even the ones Da Bunny smokes, is welcome to attend. |
Okay, so this is a non-shooting event, at least it will be if no one needs to be drawn down on, in a public place these days there is no guarantee that it won't become necessary.  However, if you enjoy cigars and feel like getting out for a get together with others that love cigars (while enjoying some great "Q") come on out and join us. We'll be there all day just follow the cloud of sweet smoke. (which will hopefully cause some of the eastside libs to have an apoplexic fit.  )
