Well, FINALLY the wait has paid off....start September 1 working for Boeing at the Everett plant.  NOW, I will have disposable income to spend on firearms...yeah!!
While I was apartment hunting yesterday, I stopped by the gun store/gun range on Airport Road, Sam's I think?  Any expereiences with the range?  I know I probably won't be making any major purchases there, as I would rather stop in Longview on my way down to Vancouver to visit my brother and pay $100 less than the prices I saw yesterday.  I understand their overhead and all is higher, but since I go to Vancouver once a month or so, figure I will pop in to the Gun Shop in LV enroute.  and now that I FINALLY got off my lazy a** and got my CPL, no pesky waiting period.
As a side note, one of the things motivating me to get my CPL before leaving Algona was the prospect of possibly having to rent somewhere in the West Casino Road area.  Fortunately, found an apartment in a different part of town.
One last question; is Boeing one of those companies that prohibits firearms in your car while parked on company property?  Any Boeing employees here know?

Last I heard Boeing does, indeed, prohibit guns on company premises, including in the cars in the lot.  Also cameras, and cell phones with cameras.
You need to join the Boeing Employee Rifle & Pistol Club!

Give you an option for a cool non-camera phone if you have Verizon: the Samsing i730.  OH!  Don't forget, you need to call up your cell provider and tell them you work for boeing and get their companies rate plan discount.  Along with that, you should get discounts on new / upgraded phones & equipment.

DAMN IT!!  I just picked up a Moto V220 with camera . . . . and now I can't have it??!!
Also, was checking out the Boeing Rifle and Pistol Club . . . . might just have to join.  And on a GOOD note, Sam's DOES offer 50% off their lane fee to Boeing, Goodrich and ACTIVE DUTY Military (just ONE more place my RETIRED I.D. isn't any good . . . . LOL)

C'mon... the cams in phones still suck.  Anyways, As I recall, you can't have a camera phone.  Now you know my pain.

Rather than joining the Boeing Rifle and Pistol Club which is based at the Renton plant I recomend that you consider joining the Boeing Everett Gun Club BEGC. Here's a link to their website: www.beegc.org/ Their club meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 5:30 PM at Sam's Gun Shop. There is a meeting room upstairs in the back by the range. We always do some shooting after the meetings. We also do IDPA competitive shooting to hone our skills. For club members we only charge $5.00 for theses shoots to offset the cost of renting the range. The club pays the difference. We usually have a free pizza diner after the shoots. We also offer training at a reduced fee for club members. Our training staff are all NRA certified instructors. We teach Basic Pistol, Personal Protection in the Home, and Basic Rifle. We will be expanding these classes as time goes on. At some time in the next year or so we will be offering a Holster class for those who carry concealed. We also have an extensive library with books, videos and DVD's that club members can check out free of charge. Please send me an IM if you are interested in joining and I'll send you an application. I'm the club treasurer so I can get you logged in pretty fast!

The policy doesn't allow cell phones with cameras but I saw plenty of them around last year. If the v220 is the same size as a v180 just get a leather case for the v180 that will cover the camera (or a case for any v220 size/shape phone without camera).
