I'm down here at Fort Hood for about a week, to compete in the FORSCOM Soldier of the Year Competition. We start Sunday at 1500 with Height/Weight (Tape), then we have our APFT Monday morning. Winner will be announced Thursday evening. I fly back Friday afternoon. Wish me luck! (PS: If I win this one, the next step is HQ DA ...) |
Stop shamming and get back to work. ![]() Good luck, ask for a couple of 4 day pass's when you get done, you earned it. |
Hey, reading is fundamental. I should remember that. ![]() As you can sleep in tomorrow. |

Holy cow, it was hot today. 104 degrees, sunny, semi-humid. I had to wear body armor (plus attachments), protective mask, helmet, and about a gallon and a half of water, plus a rifle, and do land nav out in this stuff. At least I won't have to worry about the sun for night land nav ... So, how's it been up ya'll's way? |

So, I did medicore on the PT Test (I think it was 90% insufficient hydration/sleep, and 10% oh well) I aced land nav (most people did) I got top score on the rifle range tied for top score on the CTT Tasks and I think I did fairly well on the board. The awards dinner is tomorrow ... I'll let you know who won and, if I find out, just how I placed, too. |
I cant wait to get my hands on the Voilsb cardboard cutout at the recruiting station next year. Good luck Brian, It is nice to know there are guys like you doing it the right way. |
