But seriously,

I'm extremely pleased with the manner in which my Gator lower took aftermarket(?) trigger and hammer pins and the overall workmanship. It was made by someone who cares about the quality of their work without filling you with BS. Where else do you receive that now days?

I have another nationally known manufacturer's lower which looks like Coco the monkey assembled using a hammer and has loose, oval-shaped pin holes.

Was thinking about building a 6.5 Grendel on top of another Mega lower.

Northern Cascade Firearms will be carring the Superior Arms S-15 AR15 Receiver

New High Quality Superior Arms S-15 AR15 .223 Receiver. Features include: Forged 7075 T6 Aluminum, Military Specification hard coat anodized, Statistically documented (SPC) quality plan assuring repeatable mil spec features and locations, Secondary set screw located in the pistol grip for trigger preset. This allows a tunable match trigger from a standard GI trigger. I think they will be $100. You can call Steve @ 425 268 6188

I just bought a Stag from Mary's, I haven't completely assembled it yet, but it appears to have good quality, finish, and fit with my mega upper.

While some people take issue with the Stag symbol (see above) I have come to the conclusion that they are amongst the best you can get right now.  I am currently in the process of switching out all my lowers to Stag, and all uppers to CMT (which is Stag by another name).

Although I still like to stick with Colt or Bushy barrels, I recently bought an LMT 10,5inch barrel for a pistol build and am considering one of the mid length type mid-weight profile barrels from one of the arfcom dealers for a mid-length project.

Stag is unbeatable for quality and price insofar as I am concerned.

Stag is made by LMT, LMT makes stuff for Colt, Colt is made by Oly.

Stag/CMT makes good stuff, if you don't like the deer head you can pay a few bucks more For a RRA lower.

MEGA is starting to make lowers again regularly.  Lane is no longer in charge of ARs.
They hired a new guy who has been very responsive to phone calls and keeping his word on his return calls.  (What a novel idea).  I was thinking about pulling all MEGA stuff from the shelf but it looks like they are going to finally get their act together.

The down side is that they raised prices $10 EA per lower at the dealer level.

Also, if I mentioned to him about the WA state lower we talked about last year and he said he can get that done.  Well, I've heard that before but I'm going to order 30 to start to see if this can ever come to pass.

I like my mega.  Good to hear they are going to start cranking more out.  Bummer about the price increase.  $89 bucks was a killer deal for a lower.

That bad, eh-- What do you feel will be the next good bet for .308/7.62, then, if one may ask?? My AR-10 seemed to like that Malaysian, but I know the quantities of that are limited also-- any speculations??
