Curious. Why do you spend the time that you do here on ARF, and in particular the WA Hometown Forum. I've heard various reasons from "I like the technical stuff I read" to "I'm just here for the EE" How bout YOU? ME? I guess mostly to |

Rule 1. Where else can I go that I have someone else to blame everything on!  I mostly come here because I've meet a lot of you now and just enjoy the exchange of thoughts and opinions. I've also gotten some very good info from this forum. Nothing life altering but still good stuff. |
The psycho's that I have to talk to at the Telemarket Center Only stay on the phone with me for a about 15-30 seconds...I never get a chance to really get to know them. Here the Psycho's I talk to, stick around for a long time, and I even get to put a face to the name.

I'll keep that in mind. I've always wanted an avatar of a (ram) sillhouette falling over, or getting nicked and almost falling over, but I totally lack the skills to make it happen. Are animated avatars frowned on here on AR15.com? I only see very few here.

An avatar like that shouldn't be too tough to make, but with the 12K size limit here, I don't know effective it would be. |

by comparison, it makes my life look a lot better than it really is. seriously, there's a lot of funny stuff that goes on in here. you get to meet some pretty cool people too. in the meantime, we all have something in common... guns. god forbid i actually pick up the odd bit of information that pertains to firearms here though. the internet is a lot like a cocktail party that has everybody from nuclear physicists to barbers in it. the only problem is that you're more likely to hear a barber talk about nuclear physics than you're gonna hear him talk about cutting hair. once you pick the barbers out of the crowd, you can pick up some pretty decent information about guns here. |
