I'm very interested in 3-gun matches, especially night time ones. Are there any in the Washington area? I was down in Utah for a couple of months, and they have a very neat 3-gun match setup. I'm eager to test out my gear. 16" RRA/Mega w/ rra collapsible stock, specter hst 3-point, surefire g-2 mounted to the front sight. I have a Tactical Tailor leg panel w/ EssTac double wedge for extra rounds. Remington 870 with Speedfeeed pistol grip stock, 6-round shotshell holder, 16" barrel, 6+1 capacity. Soon to have a streamlight light mount and a g-2. Hopefully the G-2 can withstand the recoil. And I'm going to be picking up a Springfield XD-9 with nightsights, kydex holster, kydex mag holders, and hopefully a Streamlight M-3. |

I think there's a match in the Tri-Cities in about a week or so. Carl Carbon runs a good match at Ephrata in the Spring. The biggie for the area is the MGM Ironman in June in Parma, Idaho. It's a three day shoot and can't be beat for challenge, number or rounds, and sheer entertainment. My only comment on your gear, is that you might want to consider going with .40 S&W instead of the 9mm. The 9 is fine for most matches, but at some, including MGM, the 9 will not down some of the heavier steel plates. Hope to see you at a match some time. |
