I lived there until I got back from my deployment. Nice town except for some of the libtards that hand out at Western, and the peace protest downtown every Saturday, or is it Friday. Oh, and the large amount of crack and heroin users and dealers. The guy who owns I Wanna Mocha, a small chain of coffee shops is a big coke user. My (soon to be ex?) wife got hooked on crack and heroin while I was deployed. Might have been a good thing that I was on medical hold after the unit got back. Still almost lost it one day. I don't like it when potentially violent heroin addicts get in my face. I don't remember how to get there, but we used to just go to a logging road that a friend of mine knew about in the county. You can't shoot within city limits of course, but there are no prohibitions in most places in Whatcom County itself. Supposedly there are a lot of old logging roads that are suitable for shooting. Open areas, with a good hill for a backstop. Plantation as has been mentioned is decent, indoor and outdoor pistol and outdoor rifle an shotgun. There is another established range somewhere to the north, but I've never been there. There are only a couple of places to buy guns. Kesselrings on Old Highway 99 is the only actual gun store. In B'ham itself you can find H&H, but it seemed to focus mostly on fishing the last few times I was there (Septemberish), and Yeagers Sporting Goods. Ok store, prices aren't great, but not a ripoff either. I'm not sure what the price of ammo is in MT, but it's pricey here (anywhere in WA). I was shocked that it was a couple dollars (or 3 or 4) more for a box of rounds here than in Northern Virginia, and Maryland. |
Do you know which episode that was, so I can set it up to record on DVR? I found out they were a customer of mine recently, and gave me a special thanks in the credits at the end of the show, but haven't got to see it yet, and didn't know which episode to record to catch it. I did some looking at the website, and figured it had to do with the episode with lava ash baths, showing on Nov 3.... but it must be the one you're talking about....? |
Show Title: Bio-Diesel Man Dirty Jobs: cobb home builder, bee man, bio-diesel man Premiere: Oct. 25, 2005 Drove past Diegos today, and my coworker and I discussed the fact that each time we had eaten there, we got sick afterwards. It's been years since I ate there, hope the food is better now!

That was not the one... I looked it up but, can't remember the name of it and for some reason it is not on their episode guide. |
I set the DVR up to record all of them after your call.... but the credits didn't show with the default settings.... now I gotta start over with delayed end-record times..... hmmm must be the lava ash bath one... on 11-03 |
around that area too?
