I thought you all might be interested in this. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/opinion/2002569394_rams19.html How was it that he lost? I wasn't here for that election but can't really imagine how he could have lost. What's not to like. |
Well, long story short. After winning the first count, the mandatory recount put him ahead with a few more votes. ,, in the process there were some "found" votes. The Dems paid for ANOTHER recount which put her ahead. The Reps took the King County (?) to court. However they could not PROVE who the felons and dead people voted for,, , so the court said the elections stands. |

Dino Rossi is still a class act, lest this thread turn ugly Now to what higher object, to what greater character, can any mortal aspire than to be possessed of all this knowledge, well digested and ready at command, to assist the feeble and friendless, to discountenance the haughty and lawless, to procure redress to wrongs, the advancement of right, to assert and maintain liberty and virtue, to discourage and abolish tyranny and vice? |

The counties that are requiring voting by mail don't make any sense to me. You have to show an id when you vote in person, but some counties are mail only. What sort of ID check is there then? Oh, you have to sign the envelope, big deal. I'm still curious about this rumor we heard last year that over a thousand of the WA National Guard members who voted from overseas didn't count because they were postmarked in Germany (instead of Kuwait) a whole day late and were tossed because of that. I know people didn't even get their ballots at all, though a few could be explained by the mail truck that was blown up. |
Its more than a rumor. Brian Suites, KVI, has told the story a few times he knows his vote didnt count. |

That's an interesting stmt...I thought the legislature did do that. Right? While I agree that all valid votes should be counted but at this pt. it's up to our elected officials to make sure thats happening. If they arent then someone who will needs to be elected to represent us. Ive lived in a number of places around the coutnry but this is the first time I've witnessed such in your face voter fraud. Perhaps the dems feel that no one much cares. |
I lived in other countries and know people living many more countries and never ever saw or heard of such fraud. Even the Latin American and African banana republics never pulled such stunt. |
That's rediculous. It's not like anybody held on to their ballots. Maybe if the state had mailed the things to us earlier we could have gotten them back in time. We got them less than a month before they were due IIRC! |
