Quote from my Email: WE MADE HISTORY! Thanks to more than 15,000 volunteers from every part of Washington state, we did what the so-called experts said was impossible: We qualified Initiative 912 in just 30 days. Using only volunteer signature gatherers, we collected and turned in 420,518 signatures to the Secretary of State. That number guarantees that I-912 will be on the November ballot. And we get the chance to vote on the legislature's massive Gas Tax Hike (just like we should have in the first place). Without you, we could not have succeeded. Thank you for being part of the No New Gas Tax Team. Paid for by NoNewGasTax.com * 218 Main Street, #412 * Kirkland, WA 98033 ![]() |

Good on all the people that made the signature gathering such a success. I was only able to give my signature, as oposed to the people that gave up their time to make this happen. My hat's off to them! While the voters may deliver a bitch slap to the .gov, I'm concerned they will have their way at the end of the day. |
Did you know that ambushing people as they are waiting to get on the Metro bus or as they are getting off will allow you to fill 4 petitions with signatures in about two hours of time? I do! just sign already maybe he'll go away, he's scary! |
Yep. Thanks for all the hard work at Home Depot, too~! That's where I signed. |

Heard on the radio that due to us adopting CA emission standards, we will need to use gas with a lower sulfur content. There is a refinery that does make lower sulfur gas, in CA. They are maxed out and guess where all their gas goes? The next closest refinery? East Coast. Factor in transportation costs .... Also, we are not adopting the standards until OR does, probably next year (Gov could have done an executive order, but being an election year ...). |

I bet the legislature is pissed about this one. All the money they threw into the anti 912 effort, plus using one of the largest law firms in town to try and block the initiative.... Its too funny really. 30 days to get this done and by god it was DONE. +10 to Kirby Wilbure, Mike Medved, John Carlson, and all the rest. Now my question is this. Since its really a forgone conclusion that 912 will make the ballot and win overwhelmingly, does the state have to somehow offset the tax that will have been already collected? |
If canidate A wins the state governors race twice, and loses to canidate B by way of a bogus re-count shouldn't a thorough and conclusive investigation be performed to totally discount any fraudulent acts of the opposing party? C'mon man..this is WA state that you're talking about here, all of that money has already been spent. |

Besides, the fucks won't do what I want them to do. I want I-5 to be a 14 lane freeway from the Oregon border to the Canadian border with it becoming an 18 lane freeway from Tacoma to Marysville.
