FOX To Set New Drama Series in Chehalis Article by: Darren Chehalis- In response to the outrageous success of last summer’s hit drama, The OC, the FOX network has decided to run a spin-off series, set in our very own Lewis County. The catch: the actors slated are all Lewis County natives. The series will follow a young man from the greater Winlock area (played by Winlock’s own Matt Wichert) that moves to Chehalis after being adopted by a kindly cell-phone salesman (Kyle Fisher). Things really start to heat up when Wichert enrolls at W.F. West high school, where he joins the soccer team and immediately finds trouble with the star midfielder, one Kyle Knotts. Things get still more complicated when Wichert runs afoul of the law by accidentally passing out at the wheel of Fisher’s Volkswagon and runs it into the local library, setting fire to a collection of books more than 12 years old. Of course, this FOX drama wouldn’t be complete without a love interest for every character. Fisher’s teenage son, played by Brandon Torgeson, is desperately vying for attention from Knotts’ ex-girlfriend, Tiffany Teagle. Wichert, in the meantime, is vying for attention from Knotts’ current girlfriend, Kelsey, who happens to live just across the hall from Fisher’s studio apartment. Knotts is trying to keep his own infidelities under wraps, but Kelsey begins to wonder just what goes on during his frequent ‘weekend vacations’ to Canada. Watch out for cameo appearances by Nathan Walker, Kevin Reynolds, Kindra Bluhm and Christina Krick somewhere down the line. The series promises to be just as full of surprises as the original OC, but with a slightly less beautiful cast and scenery that begs for landscaping. The LC is expected to air in mid-June, replacing the reality series ‘Who Wants to Buy My Child.’ For more information contact the editor of this page, at [email protected]. Chehalis.org |
