Pardon my steppin' in to the WA forum, but I have been trying to follow the status of the WA state proposed AWB. I reviewed the links in the stickies but didn't find anything current....unless I overlooked something. I used to live in Washington and just want to keep up with any gun laws there. So, can anyone tell me what the latest is on the WA AWB? Thanks in advance. coburn |

It died for this year when the 2005 regular legislative session adjourned on April 24th. www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=15&t=199828 |
'Ain't it the truth. This will never go away, particularly considering that they're growing more bold every year (eg. state elections). This is going to be in the background so long as democrapic un-thinking & kalyfornikation are the status quo. |
Dont matter... This is all CavVets fault! |

I dont see this as a problem. It gives the side of freedom a chance to make a well considered case in public for all to hear. The anti-gun agenda failed at the national level. Now, its up to us to cause it to fail at the state and local levels. To say it another way, this is the last stand for the anti-gunners...after this they have no other meaningful forum. Yes, its a total pain to have to fight yearly but I figure it just keeps us on our toes and in good fighting form. Just chalk it up to the regular cost of exercising our freedoms. The work of defending our rights at the local level is important. |
| The alternative would be what then? Public debate is our first and still available line of defense on this issue. The lefties aren't just going to go away so we'd best come to peace w/ the fact theyre going to do their worst. I would prefer it not to keep coming up but thats the way our legislative system works. We might as well turn it against them. We can either give up out of the gate or organize and take the issue back. Its up to us NOT the lefties. |
Something about him not wanting to pick any more cotton. |
Nice touch!
