It was an interesting day driving on the 5 Southbound today. I have been driving around with an NRA sticker and my Bush-Liberal Kyrptonite & American Flag stickers on my back window for almost a year now. I only seldom receive a comment about it. Today near downtown STINKattle I had a guy shake his fist at me and as he drove I could see he had all sorts of anti-bush, pro-fruitcake stickers all over his beat up POS car. Then no more than a mile later in stop and go traffic some old gray haired hippie pulls up next to me and grabs a piece of cardboard next to him on his seat that he must flash at people and on the cardboard is a bumper sticker that says "George Bush is a lying sack of shit"...so he's waving it at me trying to get a response...so I just point at him and start laughing. He goes nuts and REALLY starts waving it likes he's pissed at my response. He motions me to roll down my window and starts yelling Bush is a killer, Bush is a liar....blah blah blah. I looked at him and said "Suck on it for 3 and a half more years queerbait" I musta laughed for 5 minutes remembering his look of defeat. Somebody should just pull the handle and FLUSH STINKattle.

![]() Come on, everyone knows that the liberals are the tolerant ones. They would respect your feelings. You cannot have us believe that for one second, could you? You do realize that there was no way in Hell that I was able to type the above with a straight face. Seattle needs some Hannitization in a big way. |
|
You guys got that all right. I go bananas driving a Bus around King County seeing the stickers that had me seething in anxiety ( fear of impending doom... ) before the election. All I SAW was Kerry/Edwards stickers EVERYwhere! I recently removed my '04 stickers and NRA stickers as I was doing some work on the car, but you've got me fired up again. It's amusing to see the HATRED oozing from the Left. It's borderline criminal behavior what you see from them sometimes. |
|
I love seeing them and their Kerry Edwards stickers on their cars with their seething message of tolerance and diversity as they flip you off with one hand while clutching a Starbucks with the other. These people are the reason the left is sidelined now and will remain so until they move back to center and get rid of the tards. Remember Hillary and her vast right wing conspiracy BS? They are doing the exact same thing the right was doing while Billy boy was in office; freaking out and making proposterous accusations with the exception being that the left doesn't have a leg to stand on while the right did actually have just enough steam to merit the impeachment of the liar that held office. From a purely spectators viewpoint and all political association aside it is kind of disapointing. I expected more of the left than this, they aren't making things interesting enough IMO. |
Considering the way the state election was handled, it isn't bordering at all - it's over the line. I'll believe there's a scintilla of hope if the state SC comes back w/ a verdict that actually holds to the law, & doesn't invent some new decree that favors the status quo dictatorship. Not holding my breath. |

Theres a guy north of spokane who still has one of those 4x8 campaign signs hanging from his second story deck. He has made it into some sort of shrine, there are even light sensitive spotlights that illuminate it at night. I can understand loyalty, but Kerry LOST and will never have another chance. If these people had any sense they would move on to supporting thier next opportunity. I guess it will make the next election that much easier. |
| First of all anyone who puts a political opinion sticker on there car is just asking for trouble from some nutball who disagrees with them, so if you don't want your vehicle vandalized when your not around then take them off. Secondly, Seattle is a far more diverse city than most of you are aware, there are plenty of gun owners, Republicans NRA members and ARF guys around here. Speaking for myself there is a reason why I choose to live here, if you want to know just ask, I'll tell you. As for the crazy screaming leftist extremists, ignore them, they are already creating so much bad P.R. for themselves that nothing you can say or do will damage their cause more than they will by themselves. |
+1 for truth |
Nobody has a right to vandalize my vehicle no matter what I put on it. Your nutball leftist buddies have the same right to fly sKerry decals as the right wingers have to fly W04 decals. Either one deserves justice if they decide to go beyond the law to express themselves and damage someone else's being or property. My people believe in individual responsibility. Why would you generalize and second guess our understanding of the diversity of Seattle? Can you not clearly see who the urbanized majority is? Have you spoken to any people in the city? If you choose to live in a bubble and ignore what is going on around you, that is your choice. We all have our choices. |
+1 For Jafo's comments! Couldn't have said it better! F-STINK-attle and their sicko left wing crap. Liberals are all for "free speech" until they disagree with the content! |
#1 I did not say that anyone has a "right" to damage anyones property, I didn't even imply such so please do not say that I did. #2 I do not have any "nutball leftist buddies" don't know why you said that either. #3 The reason that I generalize your understanding of Seattle is because of numerous comments including the one here that claims that all of the city should be flushed, it was not a stretch for me to do so, by any measure. #4 Are you seriously asking me if I have spoken to anyone in the city, I live in it, tonight I'm going to a party a few blocks from my house and almost everyone there will be Republicans, a common event for me. #5 I am hyper aware of what is going on around me, no idea where that one came from either. I will never tow anyones party lines, I think for myself. If you can not even identify an ally when you see one then your ideologies are in desperate trouble. |
|
Quoted: #4 Are you seriously asking me if I have spoken to anyone in the city, I live in it, tonight I'm going to a party a few blocks from my house and almost everyone there will be Republicans, a common event for me. In STINKattle? ![]() No offense, but I hope you and the other 2 LIVING Moderate Republicans have fun. |
So I'm the one living in a bubble? There are a lot of republicans living near me, they just are not as noisy as the left, some are ARF guys who will hopefully be posting on this topic. |

Quoted: So I'm the one living in a bubble? There are a lot of republicans living near me, they just are not as noisy as the left, some are ARF guys who will hopefully be posting on this topic.[/quote Mogwar.... NOBODY is making a comment about YOU or your choice in where you live. Its just sickening to me to have to live in a 30 mile proximity to a city that "claims" to be tolerant. The liberal BS is absolute crap. Shit on your country, military, American business etc. but claim you are "tolerant" Riot, protest, destroy property but its OK....you are a liberal. I'm sure you are a stand up person, but the shithole you chose to live in needs to be flushed |
+1 The only stickers I have are 2 small flags--one for me and one maple leaf for my girlfriend. They're covering up the DoD stickers from when it was my Dad's car. Still get shit all the time for driving a Volvo though. I had a lady in a duali try to run me off 405 a couple of weeks ago. As a motorcyclist, I know the rep these bricks have. I am a Seattle resident who tries to set a good example, but damn it's hard shaking the "training" I got dicing it up on the turnpikes back East. I strive for "polite but assertive". I mostly try to ignore the freaks or maybe find amusement in their freakdom. It's not worth letting my blood presure raise unneccesarily. Fred |
Yes, there are a quite a few peolple in the city who call themselves peaceful and tolerant and are niether. There are also some who bash the military and all things American, they need to get the fuck out of my country, now. There are also many people who are living here who are none of those things. I have been to San Diego, San Fransisco, Los angeles, Denver, Dallas, Chicago, New York, Little Rock, Atlanta, Phoenix, New York, Detroit and dozens more, generally speaking and in my OPINION, Seattle is no shithole. Also, I don't appreciate JAFO's comments that were clearly designed to misrepresent what I said to suit his needs, you aren't a lawyer are ya JAFO?

Okay so I had stopped reading this thread below mog's post quoted above. I've lived in Seattle for the last 10 years or so. When I got here, I was pretty poor as a grad student at the UW. Eventually I got a job in the biotech industry and bought a house. I chose to live in the city so I would be close to my friends and other activites like getting groceries, movies, music, etc. I also hooked up with a pretty cosmopolitan chick who likes being in the city. That said, it *is* pretty lonely here as a Libertarian. But I'm not alone. I met some good (non-democrat) folks that were election observers with me last November. Today I met a neighbor who is moving North, but staying in the State. Retired Navy vet and fleet mechanic. We bullshitted for a while and he told me about the time he took a shot at a car thief down the steet about 15 years ago and how he never did find that damn bullet. My point is that there are good people in Seattle, but there are a lot more freaks. Believe me, if I could score a good biotech job in Idaho, Montana, Colorado, or Wyoming, I'd probably bail on this town. IMHO, it is slowly sinking. In the meantime I will continue to vote and to lambast those in office to make my voice heard while I'm here. Biotech unfortunately tends to cluster around liberal strongholds, SF, SD, Boston, Seattle, etc. Remember also that it ain't just Seattle city proper, the fucks that run martin luther king junior county are a slimy lot. To me being tolerant is you can do or say whatever the fuck you want right up until you impact my ability to do same. I don't like to wear my colors in the form of signs or bumper stickers in the public arena. Kind of like keeping one's CCW on the DL. Cheers all. Fred |
You said that anyone that puts a political opinion sticker on their car is asking for trouble. This is not a factual statement. I am fairly certain that most people put political opinion stikers on their car to show support for that opinion. If your buddies downtown vandalize the car then they are in the wrong, not the person who put a sticker on THEIR property.
This is common. I often say things that people don't know why.
This is not a factual statement. I never said anything about flushing Seattle. Stick to the facts.
So you have some Republican friends and that makes you think the ratio is closer to 50/50? This diversity you speak of is more one-sided than I think you are willing to believe.
WTF are you talking about? What is #5?
I prefer not to buddy up with those who have blinders on. Besides, what identification are you referring to? Quit talking like a damn city liberal. ![]() ETA:
You'll have that. I commented merely on the words you typed and my interpretation of them. If you care to change anything you've said, go for it. Otherwise, carry on. |
Mogwar... Stop trying to "Justify" STINKattle" liberal crap. You wanna live there? Fine. JAFO made valid points. Nobody is trying to flame you.....Just don't try to defend the BS I see every day. Don't defend the CRAP that spits at our military, the corporations that provide their taxes to pave roads, pay for police, fire etc. FUCK THE LIBERAL ASSHOLES! JAFO MAY HAVE TO LOCK THIS, BUT STINKattle is a freakin liberal toilet. End of Rant! |
Wow, this sure blew up fast! ![]() I took Mogwar's original comment along the lines that the liberal camp tends to be more vocal and thus more noticable than the conservative camp. Hence, the Seattle area may not be as heavily weighted in the liberal camp as it appears. I'm not saying that it isn't definitely liberal leaning as a whole, but there are probably more conservarives here than meets the eye. That is my take. YMMV. BTW, I've been walking around Seattle with an "Operation Iraqi Freedom" shirt for a while, and am disappointed that no one has told me that they are offended yet! |
Doug, just keep trying!
|
| OK JAFO #5 was refering your statement about me living in a bubble with blinders on. And apparently I have to make this crystal clear, I do not have any friends who vandalize property, I have never even hinted that I condone property damage for any reason, I was merely suggesting that by puting opinion labels on ones personal property it may increase the odds of it being damaged by someone who does not agree with the opinion. I take it you're not going to admit that you slandered my words? So much for your "personal responsibility" stance. |
I went expressly by what you have said. I will not admit to a false accusation. |

So, a certain ArfCommer came by my house the other day and saw that I had approx 6 American flags in my yard. He stated "Wow, that must drive your neighbors crazy". It doesn't is the funny thing, I live in the suburbs and yet my entire cul-de-sac is all nice quiet Conservatives. Or is that our problem...all the conservatives that live in the city are all....quiet and nice. We don't speak up enough I think (unless we're talking here). I've found that there are ALOT more conservatives around than I first figured, many of them have listened to too much ABC/CBS/NBC and got the Kerry bug along with alot of other people, however...as time went on and Kerry never told them what their plan actually was, they moved back to the right. I call this "Born again conservative". Many people out there are Conservative but call themselves Democrats because of ONE issue that they dissagree with the right on, and feel strongly about. Some of those issues are as follows: Abortion: They feel that they should be able to have an early term abortion and have listened to the left wing propoganda enough that they believe that Conservatives ALL want no abortion whatsoever. The most I've seen on this topic is that the Right has fought against late term abortions and abortions as a means of birth controll. YMMV Gay Marriage: They don't care if two guys want to be together....they really don't CARE. Thing is, most of us didn't either, we just didn't want to see it, make laws about it or have homosexuality shoved down our throats in general. The left wing media has convinced the sheeple conservatives that the right wing intends to kill off and eliminate all Gays in the world and that we are intolerant. Truth is, we don't CARE, we were fine before we were told (by the left) that we had to make it an issue. YMMV Big Business: They don't want big corporations to rip people off any more than we do. However, yet again, the Left wing stigma about how EVIL big corps are and how they use and abuse the little guy and such has convinced them that all big corporations are evil. HEAT: Nobody has any clue what kind of gun Al Pachino actually had in Heat, but the left is pretty sure that before Pachino had it, that it killed 1000s of children on a school bus with nuns and puppies. Conservatives know that it did not in fact, and whatever it was, between that and the one Val Kilmer had, we should "get both". Again, most "Liberals" in this state are not as left wing as we believe, the just strongly dissagree with usually ONE topic on the right wing agenda. Problem is Seattle sucks because it has the highest concentrations of loudmouthed Left wing wacko's. And those are the ones we hear from. Not the run of the mill citizen. My .02 |
|
okay, most of you know where I stand on these such issues since I am a supposed Liberal but think that the intollerant fanatics should be educated and put in there place like every other FANATIC there is (right or left, religeous or not) Seattle is very much a college town these days with somewhere between 10 and 15 school within a 10mile radius. College towns typically have a higher rate of protestors and other such loud mouths because they need to make a point and prove that they do not follow their parents line (or making their parents proud) depending on the situation. The public persona of both parties is negative because the only people who get heard, are the radicals. Everyone else gets left holding the bag. |
Somebody should just pull the handle and FLUSH STINKattle.

good job!

) I give them the "L" on the forehead, loser sign, its funny to watch them turn red and detonate like they know all to well what I'm saying to them
.
