Hello-New to AR15.com > Washington

Hello everyone! I have just joined the board and I'm very impressed with all the knowledge base there is. I live in Moses Hole as some of us call it. My back ground is not as exstensive as most of you in the AR area. I like AK's better for some unknown reason. I was in the Army for 21 years and was a 19D. I used AR's needless to say all my carreer except for the very first part when I went through basic and in my first unit I was assigned to. But for the majority of the time I carried an AR. I know everyone gets tired of re-hashing old questions but I need some clear-clarification to an old one, if you guys do not mind.

In the great state of Washington is it possible or impossible to apply for and recieve permission to install a stock on a "Bushmaster Pistol"? There are so many terms about AOW and what ever that it is pretty confusing trying to follow the main point of the conversations. If some of you would provide me with the right data I would be very grateful.

In general it's not possible. There are no provisions in WA for Short barreled rifles which is what you would be creating by putting a stock on a pistol.

AOW is any other weapon; a special category used under the NFA to cover anything that isn't already defined a common example is a pistol with a vertical foregrip another is a shoulder stockless short barreled shotgun. AOWs have a $200 manufacturing fee but only a $5 transfer fee,

Thank you guys for the information. Z50 was my call sign on a paticular bad day, along time ago in a land far away, and I just like the sound of it. Not to sound corny or pretend to be a rambo, cause I'm not nor was I ever, but I did travel and go places. So did alot of others, nothing special here.

NOW i dont feel speciall with all these new guys. I know one of them going to try and take my spot. When are we going to let ff back in group. Every day i check here hoping to see him post again and so far im disappointed. I missed all great post he had or maybe just that i like popcorn or something.

Look at his "joined" date, not post count.

Now that is cool. It is obvious who the real Z50 is. Where does one acquire such a machine? Don't tell me your local Honda dealer? I walked into the one here and never saw such a cool machine. But then my home town is not on the cutting edge of cool stuff either.
