Here we all complain about all the places that we can not carry and claim that we the people need to have the right to carry a firearm. We will fight so hard to get to carry a firearm in Federal parks, carry concealed. Yet what kind of example do we set by allowing the group that represents us to tell us that we cant carry in their Gun show. How do we let the WAC tell us that we cant carry concealed at their shows. What kind of mesage does that send to the Anti's. That we do not trust our selves to carry at our own gathering. Now unless their is some sort of law that I dont know about, we have a problem.

This has been covered several times, not only here but the WAC has addressed it as well.  The rule that prohibits the carrying of loaded weapons at the gunshows stems from the fairgrounds and the agreement WAC had to sign to have the shows there.  Thus it became a WAC rule for that reason.  If we want to keep having the funshows at the two fairgrounds we have to follow their rules.  Simple as that.

It stems from the fact that there have been a few negligent discharges at the gun shows so in fact yes, for liability reasons, both the promoters of the venues and the owners of the properties where they are held do not trust us to safely and competently exercise our right to bear arms.

Simple enough solution: Immediate, summary execution upon perpetration af AD/NG. Betcha it only happens once.

I resent the fact I am treated like a terrorist that going to go postal at a WAC show, being that I have been a member since the mid 70's but in their defence 14,000 people will go through the show on a good weekend and sometimes the shows are held every weekend, with such traffic and agent provocateurs the no loaded firearm rule does help cut down on ND s' because even the security staff has had ND s' with rifles that were supposed to be unloaded.

While I realize the need to follow the rules on this, I must agree with STRAT that it is less than fair to be treated like a criminal when no criminal intent is present.  It only takes one asshat to screw everything up for the rest of us.

Long with the agreement with the fairgrounds most of it probably comes from the insurance liability issues. I don't think I have ever been to a gunshow that didn't state no loaded firearms allowed.
