Sunday February 8th, my father in law will be giving his annual talk on the Apollo Lunar missions. He was a mission controller during Gemini/Apollo, and was in charge of the EMU life-support backpacks that the astronauts wore while on the surface of the moon. It is an interesting talk, and includes zero-g training video from the Gemini-Apollo era. He brings lots of interesting artifacts to view, and has quite a bit of insight into what was going on during that time.

Site: Lindsay Gould Auditorium (Northwest Hospital)

Time: Sunday, February 8, 2004 6:00 to 7:30 PM

Admission: You are invited to bring some snacks or beverages to share.

Presented by: Former mission flight controller, James A. Joki, MD

Feel free to contact me with any questions...

Cheers,
Chris

Feel free! Just don't get the kids drunk!

Plus, it is just down the hall from the emergency room in case you need your stomach pumped!

Cheers,
Chris

It's named after the first "chief of staff" and a principle founder of the hospital.
