Sunday February 8th, my father in law will be giving his annual talk on the Apollo Lunar missions. He was a mission controller during Gemini/Apollo, and was in charge of the EMU life-support backpacks that the astronauts wore while on the surface of the moon. It is an interesting talk, and includes zero-g training video from the Gemini-Apollo era. He brings lots of interesting artifacts to view, and has quite a bit of insight into what was going on during that time. Site: Lindsay Gould Auditorium (Northwest Hospital) Time: Sunday, February 8, 2004 6:00 to 7:30 PM Admission: You are invited to bring some snacks or beverages to share. Presented by: Former mission flight controller, James A. Joki, MD Feel free to contact me with any questions... Cheers, Chris |
