I've managed to get get the Jewish family and two downed aviators whisked out of town but last night someone passed me off another flyboy to get out of the area. It's getting too hot here for his safety. I do NOT know what to do so I'm just going to drop him off at the club and count on you guys to get him out of town. I'm sure you'll recognize him. |

After about 6 I stopped checking arfrom. PM me if you did and I didnt find you somehow. Oh and nice shooting my @Hill_monkey who claimed his rds didnt work on his pistol and then slayed the steel targets. |

I found what my old Vietnam era night vision gear is, that my Dad brought back. It is an AN/PAS-6 metascope. It was used for signaling with an IR lamp in morse. But the imager does OK for something gen I Found out the battery it takes, too. Not a common one, but may be able to find something. I’ll post a photo of it later. Still not sure what the heck my gen II scope is. I’ve got an elcan mount that it’s supposed to go with somewhere. But I think I need to get a small helicoil so the thread from the mount will hold the scope. If I can find that, hopefully next time will shoot some targets down range. But really I need to get a PVS-14 and stop procrastinating on that. And it’s good to finally meet a few people from here. |

If it was an old aviator it was me in my alter ego as Crash Murphy. I asked someone along the way. My damned GPS said I had arrived and I was at someone's driveway. It looked like it was probably some kind of a goat path so I pulled in only to find out it actually WAS some poor bastard's driveway. I backed out and proceeded up the road and pulled over and asked a couple that told me to keep going because it was up ahead. |

Once again, happy to have met everyone that came out. If you are interested in buying some NODs, dont wait as things are pretty backed up with the big time vendors. Not sure what the 'political climate' will be by next months shoot, but Im happy to come out again for those that didnt get to attend this months meet up or anyone that wants to come back. I enjoy meeting new people and its a nice spending a few hours with like minded individuals. March is the last month for the night shoot until November. My hope is to come up with something monthly for area members. Might not be a shoot (lets face it, ammo is $$$$ and impossible to fund) but thinking about doing a hike or something. Im open to any ideas that you guys have. |
