The Levittown Center is very close. 5 miles or less. Really just one congested road and make a left. They can process the permit but call ahead since I do not believe they do permits every day of the week. That's what I recall. Also print the application out online and complete, less the signatures. Save some time.
The Sheriff is in Doylestown. You might be able to stop there on your way in or on the way home. It's north of Sesame Place by about 10-15 miles and in a more rural area. Again check the hours but they do them every day and are very fast, efficient and polite. Residents get our permits why we wait. Not sure if they do that for non residents. Bucks is my county. Enjoy the trip. |
| So I show up in Levittown this morning around 10 with all my paperwork squared away. The sheriff tells me that non-resident permits have to go to Doylestown. She makes a phone call and confirms thats where I have to go. Looks like tomorrow I am getting up early to make the drive to come back to Sesame place for the day... |

Round 2: So I was at the hotel on the last day of my vacation and get up early to make the drive to Doylestown. I get there and the Sheriffs office tells me that they no longer issue Permits to Non reciprcating states. So being from Connecticut, they wouldn't issue me one. However, she then told me that some Counties still do. I think I was more frustrated at the other sheriffs office for letting me drive all the way up there after they had spoken to them on the phone back in Bucks County.
I just called Northamptons Sheriffs , and there automated phone line told me that they currently don't issue Non-Resident permits. Oh well..... |

They would have issued one there. |
