Looks like I am moving to Bucks County, probably Doyelstown from Wisconsin. Are there any 3-gun matches anywhere near that area? Don't mind driving an hour or so for a match. What about good indoor ranges and gun shops in the area? Thank God PA allows all of the NFA items I have and you also have CCW so the gun situation is pretty much the same as here in WI.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, MadDog |

I can't answer the question about 3 gun because I've never shot it but I'd like to. I'm in Chester County. That being said, King Shooter Supply is about 40 minutes from Doylestown. Awesome shop. |

for matches you have two great choices
New Holland or Langhorne if you're going to join a range I'd make it New Holland by far..... but both hold good monthly matches (and the match directors post in here) |

macro:
It is official, I will be relocating to PA. Selling my house now (relocation company will buy my house if I don't sell it myself in 90 days). I will be in PA the first of February (we are looking at houses in Doylestown and New Hope) and weather permitting will be looking you up to go shooting. Besides the ranges in the area, do you know of an active 3-gun club anywhere near? |

In certain areas millage rates can easily exceed 200. Wife and I got our hopes up with a fantastic looking house in NH that was only about $450k...until we realized the taxes were $1k/month. |

shaggy:
Thanks for the heads up. Property taxes of 1k per month is much better then what I am paying now her in WI. Not sure about property tax for the rest of WI but in my area (I live on the Legends Country Club & Golf Course) I am paying a lot more then that, so if taxes in New Hope are only 1k I can live with that. Well we did it. It's official, we close on the new house the first week of February. Got a sweet house in the Buckingham Township part of Doylestown. Figured I would celebrate the move with a couple new AR's. Picked up a stripped lower and put an Adams Arms Piston Uppers on it. One a super light 16" for next years 3-Gun season and an 11" piston upper for one of my SBR'd lowers that will have my Ranger suppressor dedicated to it.
See y'all soon, MadDog |
