There are 6 summits on this list that have NO ACTIVATIONS. I am interested in hauling my military backpack rig up one of them that has never been activated to put it on the air. What I would like to know is which one of these summits is easily accessible to a guy that is 62 years old and does NOT want to climb Mt Everest after crashing through the boonies for 43 miles hauling radio gear. I know this is a long shot but maybe one of you guys is a hiker and has been to one on the list and can let me know how accessible any of these summit are. |

You don't look 62. Heck I thought you were in your mid 50's. There's probably a real good reason why nobody's been up there yet. I used to go Jeeping up near seven springs mountain... its near Derry and its pretty rough up there. You might be able to get close on an ATV.

Mount Davis (the highest point in the state) has a parking lot nearly astride it with a quarter mile or so with no appreciable elevation climb stroll over to the fire tower atop it. I went up to it while staying at the YMCA camp at its base with children aged 5 and 8 two year ago with no problems |
