Link to his website: http://www.samrohrer.org/who-is-sam-rohrer/issues.html http://www.samrohrer.org/policymakingrules.html Been following him through his newsletters, organized events in support of 2A and 10A, etc, for a couple years. Been volunteering with is Gubernatorial primary campaign. Met him yesterday, and heard him speak to a group of about 30 volunteers in State College, PA. He is the real deal. Public polls are under-reporting Sam's support, but we still need a huge push from here to next Tuesday to get out the word to everyone. Franklin & Marshall shows 60% still "undecided" about their choice for Governor, and Sam's numbers - even as under-reported - have tripled in the last month, so momentum is on our side. The key is going to be keeping and increasing that momentum. Please go to Sam's site and decide for yourself if you think his support of 2A, 10A, and his other views on limited and honest (for a change) government track with what you want from the next Governor of PA. Thank you. |

I'm sure Mr. Rohrer is a good guy but reality says we need to get behind Tom Corbett. I would like to counter your comment by saying this is primary so your vote for Rohrer doesn't hurt the GOP, or do anything to help the Dem get elected in November. A vote for Sam, as the last poster said, shows popular support for true Conservatives instead of weasel-word spewing, RINO, party hacks. Over 60% of GOP voters are still undecided about the Governor race. It is true Corbett is polling higher than Rohrer, but every vote counts. I hope you will consider Sam Rohrer as your choice at the ballot box in the primary tomorrow. No matter whom you vote for, as long as you vote, I thank you for being part of this important process. |

I'm for Rohrer as well. Who is a good choice for Lt. Gov? I have a friend who met Daryl Metcalfe at a TEA Party. My friend was open carrying, and Mr. Metcalfe thanked him for supporting the 2nd. I'm voting for him. I have no problem with Metcalfe; he is a fine choice. Personally, I voted for Russ Diamond due to his activism and leadership in the Clean Sweep movement. On another note, I worked at my local precinct handing out literature for Sam Rohrer and two local candidates. Turnout was very low. It was raining, but I can't accept that people would let a little water dissuade them from a right to vote that was paid for with blood. I looked at the ballot stack just before I left, and from 7 to 8:30 AM, we only had 17 voters at my precinct.
I take pride in always being first in line to vote at my precinct. However, for the Oblome election even arriving 30 minutes early I was still #5. Going this afternoon to hand out literature at the 2nd busiest precinct in the county. I hope the turnout is better there. |

Governors candidates to have a debate. Metcalfe is the best choice out of all candidates. |

Obviously I can't address the contradictions you witnessed, and your experience is troubling to hear of. As I already said, I think Metcalfe is a fine candidate.
As far as Diamond's support of a Constitutional Convention, what I understand is he wants a limited one like we had in 1968, not an unlimited one where things like PA's Section 21 (RKBA - which is worded even simpler/stronger than the U.S. 2A) would be at risk of being re-written. The areas of Constitutional Reform being targeted would close loopholes that presently allow a member of a State Legislator's administrative staff to take a leave of absence to work on the legislator's campaign, then return to his original job on the staff and receive a "bonus" that effectively pays the staffer for the time spent working on the campaign. This equals taxpayers subsidising the campaigns of sitting State Legislators, and is the essence of the "Bonusgate" investigations and scandals. The way the Constitution is written now, the legislators would have to vote to close this loophole, and unfortunately they don't seem inclined to do the ethical thing when runs against their self-interests. |

a CON/CON is the worst thing that can happen here in PA. as per Russ Diamonds own words. he supports a Con/Con but if the Con/Con is Conviened and it goes towards an Open Con/Con. he would not support it and back out. that's all fine and dandy, but if it's already going on you leave the Constitution in the hands of Lawyers and special intrest groups to make the changes and they can amend a change to make Article I null and void. not to mention that once a Con/con Happens ALL case law that has been set prior to the Con/Con becomes Null and Void. there fore opening the door to feel good decisions to over rule longstanding laws.
I can go on and on if you wish. BTW, there is no limited Con/Con. that's a falacy |

Just returned from my local polling station. I went there straight from work, thought I might be in a short line. Not so, I breezed right in with no one in front of me. While I was there, two other groups did arrive though.
There wasn't even a single person outside handing out literature about any candidates. |

I voted earlier today, taking the GF to the polling place as soon as she gets home.
Those might be the only two votes Rohrer gets from Philadelphia county.
Now, for the truly unbelievable. My polling place had Republicans handing out literature! First... time... ever. I was #39 for my district, turnout is primarily Dems (of course) but the ladies working the rolls said there were quite a few R's that had already showed up and voted. |
