I bought a M11 last year and have only been able to take it out a few times, but I am having trouble to get it to run properly.  I bought brand new mags for it and have checked the feed angle and they are all the same.  A few of the mags work and some do not.  The problem I am having is that the bullet nose dives in between the feed ramp and bottom of the barrel.  I think the feed ramp needs some work and would like to take it to someone who specializes in NFA stuff.  Are there any gunsmiths in the Pittsburgh, PA area that does this kind of work.  If you know of a shop please let me know.

Pics of the actual gun.

It may be your ammo. If you are using remington green and white box ammo you will get failures to feed. I have exactly the same set up. The green and white remington worked wonderfully in my standard upper with recon ordnance magazines. But on the lage slowfire upper the bolt is really heavy. The recoil impulse from this ammo is not strong enough to move the bolt. I have had jams that shortened the overall cartridge length from 9mm to 380. Before you do anything else find and try winchester white box 9mm.

I have emailed Richard Lage and this was his response:

Hi Robert,

I recommend Winchester White Box, 115 Gr. full metal jacket ammo.  I have also just started using CCI Blazer, brass cased, 115 gr. copper plated ammo.

The Remington UMC is notoriously underpowered and the overall length sometimes runs short.

I have not personally tried Federal American Eagle 115 grain FMJ, but if it is reliable, I doubt it will be a problem.  I have test fired 500 rounds of 124 Gr. NATO +P ammo, with no problems.  Weak ammo will cause feeding problems as it does not allow the bolt to consistently recoil back far enough.

Best regards,

Seeing as its laying on the red AE box, I'd guess that is what he is using.

But OP, if you were using the white and green remington, try some different ammo. That stuff won't run in alot of things.

Thanks for all of the responses.

I have tried numerous brands of ammo.  I have used American Eagle (147gr), WWB, Blazer Brass, and Remington UMC.  It does the same nose dive with any of the brands.
