Folks,

I'll be moving from Michigan to the Chadds Ford, PA area in a few weeks.  Anything I should know about local gun laws/sentiment?  Any ranges and/or shops in the area?  In advance, your comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Welcome to PA , you picked a nice area to move to. There's quite a few ranges close by , most of them are outdoors.  Southern Chester County is out on Rt 926 by PennStates New Bolten Center.
www.sccsfa.org/

Atglen Sportsman back off of Rt 41 www.atglensportsmensclub.org/

Pa is pretty gun friendly for now , first thing you need to do is register to vote so we can stay that way .
Read over our CCW laws on Packing.org > www.packing.org/state/pennsylvania/

Once again welcome

Regards
Jerry

Welcome to a Free State!

I hope you enjoy your first Class III purchase real soon.

I’d start off with a suppressor to start things off.
Then maybe a SBR or two.  If you have the green you might even try a MAC to get yourself started into Rock & Roll shooting.

Jerry,

Thanks for the response.  Beautiful part of the state.  I'll register when I get the new drivers license.  Does Packing.com have any suggestions on how I should properly register hand guns in PA (i.e. should I have them sent from a Michigan FFL to a PA FFL)?

Regards,

Dave

Gigglesmith,

Thanks for the response.  I like your thinking.  Job is actually in Wilmington, DE.  I told my wife that we needed to look for a residence in PA "because of the better school systems".  Always looking out for the children!  I've been spending way too many hours staring at www.autoweapons.com/.  I just need to find someone willing to walk me through the process as well as CLEO that doesn't have any issues.  I look forward to the move.

Regards,

Dave

you don't have to register guns you already have. you do have to repeat after me.  "i do swear to john mosses browning that the guns i own are legal.  i will now be a steelers fan.  i will not act like a tool, eventhough the governor is a tool."

welcome

Steelers...Eagles...I don't care, just as long as I can drop the Lions the minute I cross the boarder.  I promise not to be obnoxious with my Michigan stuff.
